What's the difference between the three camera types?The Live-Guard turrets add strobe, siren and two-way audio for active deterrence; the audio turrets are detail-focused DarkFighter cameras with a mic; the mini-domes are low-profile, IK08 vandal-resistant cameras ideal for indoor and entry coverage.
Are the mini-domes vandal-resistant?Yes — the DS-2CD2586G2-IS is rated IK08 against impact and tampering, plus IP67 for dust and water resistance, so it suits exposed entries and public-facing areas.
Can I turn off the strobe and siren?Yes. The Live-Guard deterrence can be scheduled to activate only after hours or disabled entirely from the Hik-Connect app or NVR menu.
Is a hard drive included?No — the NVR ships as a chassis with two empty SATA bays (up to 32 TB total). Add a surveillance-grade Seagate SkyHawk or WD Purple drive to record from day one.

Both cameras are ColorVu — the panoramic sees full colour down to 0.0005 lux at F1.0, and the G3 turret adds Smart Hybrid Light (IR or white) with the same 0.0005 lux colour sensitivity. Clothing and plate colour at night, not grey IR.
Active Deterrence Built In

Does the 180° image look like a fish-eye?No. The panoramic camera uses two lenses and internal stitching to create a flat, widescreen 180° image without the distortion of a single fish-eye lens.
What's the difference between the two cameras?The DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL is a 180° panoramic camera for wide-area, no-blind-spot coverage; the DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL is a 4K ColorVu 3.0 Live-Guard turret for pinpoint detail and two-way-audio deterrence on a focused approach.
Do I need to buy a hard drive?Yes. The NVR ships without an HDD so you can size storage to your retention needs. Add a surveillance-grade drive (2 TB–14 TB); for 4K we recommend 4 TB or larger.

The tile bridge sits above the tile and distributes the speaker’s weight across the entire panel and onto the ceiling grid, so the tile stays flat and the speaker stays level. It measures 595 x 360 mm to span a standard ceiling grid module, works with a wide range of drop-ceiling systems, and is supplied in packs of two.

Why a tile bridge matters

Do I need one for every install?Only for soft ceiling installations — mineral fibre, plasterboard and similar suspended tiles. If you are mounting into a rigid ceiling that can carry the load on its own, the bridge is not required.
How many come in a pack?The TC1603 is sold in packs of two under part number 02555-001.
What size is it?595 x 360 mm with a 15 mm profile, and a Ø195 mm aperture for the speaker. The 595 mm length is sized to span a standard ceiling grid module.
Will it work with my ceiling grid?Axis states it is compatible with a wide range of drop-ceiling systems. If you are working with a non-standard or proprietary grid, check the dimension drawing above against your rail spacing before ordering.
Is the speaker included?No. This listing is for the TC1603 Tile Bridge accessory only. The AXIS C1210-E or C1211-E speaker is ordered separately.
Is any wiring or power needed?None. The tile bridge is a purely mechanical support plate — there is no electrical connection, no PoE and nothing to configure.

Keep the speakers, gain the network
Ripping out a working analog PA system is expensive and disruptive. The C8110 lets you avoid it. Connect its line-out to your existing analog amplifier and the whole legacy speaker line suddenly inherits IP features: scheduled bell tones and music, event-triggered announcements from your surveillance cameras, SIP callouts from the phone system, and zoning. Run it the other way and any analog source — an intercom, a mixing desk, a music streaming box, a 2N SIP Mic — becomes an input to your Axis network speakers. A single bridge serves hundreds of speakers, which makes it one of the most cost-effective devices in the Axis audio range.
Works both directions
Analog in to network speakers, network audio out to analog amplifiers, or a hybrid of both. Mic-in, line-in and line-out on 3.5 mm and RCA connectors cover almost any legacy interface.
SIP and VoIP callouts
Register the bridge to a PBX peer-to-peer or via SIP/PBX. Tested with Cisco, Bria and Grandstream clients and Cisco and Asterisk PBXs, with SRTP, SIPS, SIP TLS and NAT traversal supported.

What audio connections does it have?Mic-in, line-in and line-out. Physically that is a 3-pole 3.5 mm connector plus an RCA line output, so it interfaces with most legacy mixers, amplifiers, intercoms and streaming boxes.
Can I keep my existing analog PA speakers?Yes — that is the main use case. Feed the C8110 line-out into your current analog amplifier and the existing speaker line gains IP scheduling, zoning, event-triggered announcements and SIP callouts without replacing any speakers.

Can it be installed outdoors?No. The casing is IP20-rated only and the operating range is -20 °C to 50 °C at 10–85% RH. Mount it indoors in a comms cabinet, rack or equipment room — it is only 24 x 56 x 128 mm and includes a hook-and-loop fastener.
Does it take an SD card?Yes. It supports microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 1 TB with AES-XTS 256-bit encryption. A card is not included in the box.

How much power does the TU8003 actually deliver?Up to 90 W at 54 V DC, using IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 and AXIS High PoE. Note the thermal derating: the full 90 W is rated to 35 °C ambient, 60 W to 50 °C and 30 W to 60 °C.
What does portcast technology do?Portcast lets the midspan use the connected camera’s IP address, so its audio and I/O ports appear as if they were part of the camera. Audio and video travel in a single stream, which means no additional VMS licence for the audio channel.
Which cameras is it designed for?Axis lists it as compatible with a broad range of Axis PTZ cameras (including the Q62 and P56 families), panoramic multidirectional cameras, radar devices and network speakers. Check the compatibility list on the Axis product page for your exact model.
Can I run fibre into it?Yes. The unit has a 1 Gbit SFP slot that accepts Axis modules such as the T8611 (single-mode LC.LX), T8612 (multi-mode LC.SX) or T8613 (1000BASE-T).
What I/O does it provide?Three configurable inputs/digital outputs plus one fixed input on a 6-pin 2.5 mm terminal block, along with a 12 V DC auxiliary output rated to 50 mA.
Does it support two-way audio?Yes — two-way full duplex over a 4-pin 2.5 mm terminal block, with microphone or line input and line output. Encoding covers 24 bit LPCM, AAC-LC, G.711, G.726 and Opus.
How is it mounted?Wall, shelf or DIN rail. The DIN rail clip (AXIS T91A03) is sold separately, as is the AXIS T91G61 Wall Mount used for extended cold-weather installs.
Is it suitable for Australian power?Yes. Input is 100–240 V AC at 50–60 Hz and the unit carries RCM marking to AS/NZS CISPR 32 Class A. The AU part number is 02027-006.
