A flexible main door station for modular Hikvision intercom systems
The Hikvision DS-KD8005-IME1 is the main camera and communications module for a KD8 Series IP video intercom. Its 5 MP camera, wide 134° horizontal field of view and two-way audio help visitors and entry areas appear clearly, while two relay outputs allow a correctly configured system to control up to two locks.

What you need to know before ordering
- This listing is for the DS-KD8005-IME1 main door-station module.
- A suitable Hikvision KD8 mounting frame or enclosure is required and is not included unless specifically stated in the offer.
- Additional display, keypad, card-reader and other submodules are optional and sold separately.
- The unit requires an IEEE 802.3af PoE network connection or a suitable 12 VDC, 1.5 A power supply.
- Electric locks, exit buttons, door contacts, indoor stations and installation cabling must be selected to suit the site.

A built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker support two-way audio, with noise suppression and echo cancellation for clearer speech.
Control two entry points
Two lock relays and two door-contact inputs support a properly designed two-door or gate-and-door arrangement.
Flexible call-button layout
Two physical buttons can be configured for zero, one or two call buttons to suit the installation and tenant layout.
Built for exposed entrances
The aluminium module is rated IP65 and IK08, with an official operating range of -40°C to +60°C.
Installation and system fit
The DS-KD8005-IME1 can be surface mounted or flush mounted with the appropriate KD8 hardware. Its RS-485 interface connects compatible Hikvision submodules, while the RJ45 port provides 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Remote web configuration can simplify commissioning, but lock wiring, door contacts, power and network settings should be completed by a suitably experienced installer.

Can the DS-KD8005-IME1 be used on its own?It is the main camera and communication module, but a complete installation also needs suitable mounting hardware, network or 12 VDC power, lock hardware and system configuration. Most projects also use a compatible indoor station or management platform.
Does the mounting box come with it?No mounting frame or enclosure is included unless the offer specifically says otherwise. Choose the correct KD8 surface-mount or flush-mount hardware for the number of modules in your layout.
