Dahua's AcuPick technology, powered by AI offers quicker search, easier operation and high accuracy with lower operation costs. Following the innovative concept of in-depth integration, effectively utilises both front-end and back-end intelligence to help users locate targets more conveniently, more quickly, and more accurately in massive video data.
Is AcuPick realised through Al by camera or Al by recorder?
AcuPick needs both Al by camera and Al by recorder in order to collect and extract information from humans or vehicles. Al IPC is responsible for collecting and extracting information from humans/vehicles, while NVR is responsible for extracting the target information and comparing it with data in the database.
Why not use Face Recognition (FR) for AcuPick?
There are two reasons why facial recognition is difficult: first, the back of the head and sides of the face are commonly exposed, and it is difficult to recognise faces without frontal exposure. Secondly, the pixels captured by the camera may not have enough detail to make facial recognition feasible.
Some human/vehicle can be recognised by the colour of their clothes. Is it necessary to use AcuPick?
The colour of clothing can be important in making judgments, but it is not the only factor. First, there will be chromatic aberration between cameras and lighting effects.
Second, what happens when two people have similar-coloured clothing? You need to look at the details. Tests on multiple data sets show that achieving a 50% accuracy rate is difficult using just colour features.
