NVR5432 vs the family — where it sits
The 5432 is the enterprise headend in our Dahua range — twice the channel count of the 5216, twice the HDD bays, twice the network ports, and the only model with a 36-channel split and a 12 V alarm-output feed. The trade-off is the absence of built-in PoE: cameras must be powered through an external switch. Choose the 5216 instead if you want PoE built into the recorder; choose the 5432 (this model) when you're running more than 16 cameras through an existing managed network.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the NVR5432 have built-in PoE?
The 5432 is a headend NVR designed for sites that already run a managed network. Cameras connect through an external PoE switch (Dahua's own PoE switches, or any IEEE 802.3af/at managed switch). This gives you VLAN segregation, redundant network paths and far better scaling than fixed 16-port PoE NVRs. If you'd prefer all-in-one with PoE built into the recorder, choose the 5216-16P-AI/ANZ instead.
How big a PoE switch do I need for 32 cameras?
Allow about 7-15 W per camera for most Dahua WizSense bullets/turrets, more for active-deterrence units and PTZs. A 24-port PoE+ switch with 370–500 W of budget will run 32 typical cameras comfortably; a 48-port managed PoE+ switch is more headroom and gives spare ports for VoIP, APs and APs. CCTV Guru can quote a complete switch + NVR bundle.
What is AcuPick and what do I need for it?
AcuPick is Dahua's next-generation attribute-and-image search — it extracts rich target attributes (clothing, body shape, vehicle make/model/colour/plate, direction) at the camera AND the NVR, then lets you search across all 32 channels by reference image or combined attributes. You need Dahua's AcuPick-ready cameras (typically TiOC PV and 5-Series WizSense Plus IPC families). Standard WizSense cameras still record and recognise faces but the full AcuPick depth requires paired AcuPick IPCs.
What's the dual NIC for?
Two independent Gigabit RJ-45 ports — use them for VLAN segregation (camera VLAN on NIC1, management/uplink VLAN on NIC2), or bond them for active-passive failover (NIC2 takes over if NIC1's switch port dies), or load-balance for combined throughput. Configured from the local GUI or web interface.
How much storage do I need for 32 cameras?
For 32 × 4 MP cameras at H.265+ on motion-record, allow ~25-35 TB for 30 days of retention. Four 8 TB or 10 TB surveillance-grade drives (WD Purple, Seagate SkyHawk) covers most use cases with disk-group protection. If on-board capacity isn't enough, iSCSI lets you expand onto network-attached storage or eSATA onto external archive arrays.
Is the DHI-NVR5432-AI/ANZ NDAA Section 889 compliant?
No. Dahua products are not currently NDAA Section 889 compliant. If NDAA compliance is required (federal, government or defence installs), choose a Uniview, Hanwha, Axis, Bosch or IDIS NVR instead — CCTV Guru can recommend an equivalent.
Can it be rack-mounted?
Yes — 1.5U / 440 mm wide fits a standard 19-inch rack with ears (rack ears sold separately). It can also sit on a desk or shelf if you've allocated cabinet space. At 4.74 kg empty (without HDDs), plan for around 7-8 kg fully loaded with four drives.
What's the 12 V alarm output for?
One of the 6 alarm outputs is a direct 12 V 1 A power feed — drive a siren, strobe light or electric strike directly without needing an external relay or power supply. The other 5 outputs are dry-contact relays you can wire to anything that takes a NO/NC trigger.

WizSense + AcuPick · 5-Series · 32-Channel · 16-PoE · 4-HDD
The Dahua DHI-NVR5432-16P-AI/ANZ is a 32-channel 5-Series WizSense AI NVR with 16 built-in PoE+ ports (ports 1–8 ePoE-capable up to 800 m), four SATA bays, dual Gigabit NICs, dual HDMI + dual VGA outputs, and a 1.5U rack chassis built for enterprise installs. AcuPick runs across all 32 channels, recording up to 32 MP per camera, scaling storage to 80 TB on-board (plus eSATA and iSCSI expansion), and driving a control-room wall up to 36 channels on the main monitor.
This is the official Australia / NZ-market SKU (the AI/ANZ suffix). It's the all-in-one option in our 5-Series 32-channel range — sixteen cameras plug straight into the back of the recorder, the remaining sixteen come in via an external PoE switch on the network. Internal 100–240 VAC universal PSU, AS/NZS-compliant kettle cord, and a local 3-year warranty backed by CCTV Guru in Sydney.

PoE Ports
16 × 10/100 · IEEE 802.3af/at · 1–8 ePoE
PoE Budget
150 W total · up to 25.5 W per port
16 cameras plug straight in
Each Cat6 run carries power and video back to the NVR — no power adaptors at every camera, no PoE switch in the rack for the first 16 channels. Sixteen more cameras come in via your existing network for the full 32-channel licence.
ePoE on ports 1–8 (up to 800 m)
Extended PoE on the first 8 ports — 100 Mbps up to 300 m, or 10 Mbps up to 800 m on Cat6. Eliminates intermediate switches and fibre runs on long perimeter, carpark or warehouse runs.
Powers PoE+ cameras
25.5 W per port (PoE+ / 802.3at) handles IR-heavy bullets, mini PTZs, multi-sensor cameras and active-deterrence units. 150 W total — plan for ~9 W average per camera across all 16 ports.
Scales beyond 16 via network
The licence supports up to 32 IP cameras — sixteen on the built-in PoE, sixteen via an external PoE switch or network. Mix Dahua WizSense IPCs and any ONVIF camera you already own.

Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from the no-PoE NVR5432-AI/ANZ?
The 5432-16P (this model) has 16 built-in PoE+ ports — your first 16 cameras plug straight into the back of the recorder, no PoE switch required. The plain 5432-AI/ANZ has no built-in PoE and is for sites that already run a managed PoE switch. Same chassis, same AI, same 4 HDD bays — just the PoE difference.
What does ePoE on ports 1–8 give me?
Extended PoE — long-distance Cat6 runs at reduced speed. Ports 1–8 support 100 Mbps up to 300 m or 10 Mbps up to 800 m (most IP cameras work fine at 10 Mbps for sub-stream + main-stream H.265+). Eliminates intermediate switches on long perimeter or carpark runs. Ports 9–16 run standard PoE+ at up to 100 m.
How do I connect cameras 17–32?
Via your existing managed switch or VLAN. The licence supports up to 32 IP cameras on the NVR; you decide which 16 plug into the built-in PoE and which come in over the network. The Gigabit uplink and second NIC give you plenty of headroom to bring in another 16 channels of camera traffic.
What is AcuPick and what do I need for it?
AcuPick is Dahua's next-generation attribute-and-image search — it extracts rich target attributes at the camera AND the NVR, then lets you search across all 32 channels by reference image or combined attributes. You need Dahua's AcuPick-ready cameras (typically TiOC PV and 5-Series WizSense Plus IPC families). Standard WizSense cameras still record and recognise faces but the full AcuPick depth requires paired AcuPick IPCs.
How much storage do I need for 32 cameras?
For 32 × 4 MP cameras at H.265+ on motion-record, allow ~25–35 TB for 30 days of retention. Four 8 TB or 10 TB surveillance-grade drives (WD Purple, Seagate SkyHawk) covers most use cases with disk-group protection. If on-board capacity isn't enough, iSCSI lets you expand onto network-attached storage or eSATA onto external archive arrays.
Is the DHI-NVR5432-16P-AI/ANZ NDAA Section 889 compliant?
Plan for about 7–8 kg fully loaded with four drives.

Why this 32-channel NVR is built for large-site security
When 16 cameras aren't enough — and a rack-mount enterprise recorder is overkill — the DS-7732NI-M4/16P sits exactly in the middle. Sixteen onboard PoE ports remove the need for an extra PoE switch on the critical 16 cameras, and another 16 channels are free to add ANPR, panoramic, fisheye, thermal or third-party ONVIF cameras across your network. With 320 Mbps incoming bandwidth and 4 × SATA bays, this NVR is designed for projects where downtime is unacceptable and footage retention is measured in months, not days.
True 32-Channel 32 MP Input
Every channel supports cameras up to 32 MP — mix PanoVu, fisheye, ColorVu and 4K+ AcuSense cameras across a single NVR without throttling resolution or frame rate.
AcuSense Smart Detection
When paired with AcuSense cameras, the NVR runs deep-learning human and vehicle classification across all 32 channels — filtering false alarms from leaves, animals and shadows.
16 PoE Ports Built-In
Power and data over a single Cat6 run to 16 cameras, up to 100 m. IEEE 802.3 af/at compliant with 200 W total PoE budget — enough for a full perimeter without an extra switch.
Quad-SATA, 64 TB Capacity
Four internal SATA bays accept enterprise-grade surveillance HDDs up to 16 TB each, delivering month-long retention even with all 32 cameras at full 4K H.265+.
320 Mbps Incoming Bandwidth

Hikvision M Series · 8K · 32 Channel · 3U · 256 TB
The Hikvision DS-9632NI-M16 is the enterprise-storage choice for 32-channel deployments — the same 3U chassis and 16 SATA bays (256 TB max) as the flagship 64-channel M16, but tuned for sites that need extreme footage retention rather than maximum camera count. Hospitals, casinos, hotels, mid-sized warehouses, government archives and compliance-driven facilities that need months of continuous 4K recording per camera, on a single recorder, in a single rack unit.
This is a non-PoE enterprise chassis — designed for sites that already run a managed PoE switch backbone (or non-PoE camera infrastructure like fibre, wireless backhaul or third-party power injectors). Pair the M16 with your existing switch infrastructure and let it handle recording, AI processing, multi-monitor display, RAID redundancy and N+M hot-spare protection for all 32 channels.

The 32-channel NVR for sites that take retention seriously
Most 32-channel NVRs ship with 4 or 8 SATA bays — enough for 30–60 days of 4K H.265+ footage. That's fine for compliance minimums, but it's barely two months. The DS-9632NI-M16 doubles or quadruples that: 16 SATA bays for up to 256 TB total — enough for 6 months to a full year of continuous 4K retention at typical 32-channel bitrates. For hospitals, casinos, government and compliance-driven facilities, that retention window is the difference between meeting an investigation window and missing it.
32-Channel 32 MP Input
Every channel supports cameras up to 32 MP — mix PanoVu, fisheye, ColorVu and 4K+ AcuSense cameras across a single NVR without throttling resolution or frame rate.
256 TB Maximum Storage
Sixteen internal SATA bays accept enterprise-grade surveillance HDDs up to 16 TB each, delivering 6-12 months of continuous 4K retention across all 32 cameras.
RAID 0/1/5/6/10 + N+M Hot Spare
Configure full RAID across the 16 SATA bays, plus N+M hot-spare drives that automatically take over if a working drive fails — zero operator intervention, zero footage loss.
Dual HDMI + Dual VGA
Four independent display outputs — HDMI 1 drives a true 8K monitor, HDMI 2 a 4K monitor, plus two independent VGA workstations. Perfect for multi-operator 24/7 control rooms.
320 Mbps Incoming Bandwidth
Comfortably runs all 32 channels at full 4K H.265+ simultaneously — generous bandwidth headroom per camera, so you can fit higher-bitrate streams without compromise.
ANPR, People Counting & Fisheye
Native support for specialty cameras — ANPR for entry/exit gates, people counting for hospital wards or retail traffic, and fisheye / panoramic for wide-area coverage.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the M16 and the 9632NI-M8?
The M16 has double the SATA bays (16 vs 8) and double the maximum storage (256 TB vs 128 TB), in a slightly taller 3U chassis vs the M8's 2U. Same 32 channels, same 320 Mbps bandwidth. Choose the M16 if you need extreme retention — 6–12 months instead of 2–3.
Why choose this over the DS-9664NI-M16 (64-channel)?
Same chassis, same 256 TB storage, but tuned for 32 channels at slightly lower price. If your site has 32 cameras (not 64) and needs extreme retention, the 9632NI-M16 gives you the same storage capacity with more bandwidth headroom per camera.
Is there a redundant-power version available?
Yes — the DS-9632NI-M16/R has dual hot-swappable PSUs for sites where power redundancy is mandatory (data centres, critical infrastructure, government). Contact our Australian team if you need the /R variant.
Does it come with hard drives?
The recorder ships as a chassis only. CCTV Guru offers pre-fitted enterprise surveillance drives from 8 TB up to 16 TB per bay — choose your RAID-ready configuration at checkout. For 256 TB max, fit 16 × 16 TB drives in RAID 6 for dual-drive failure protection.
Does the M16 have built-in PoE?
No — this is a non-PoE enterprise chassis. It's designed for sites that already run a managed PoE switch backbone. The M Series PoE variants (DS-7732NI-M4/24P, DS-7732NI-M4/16P) max out at 32 channels but with much less storage.
Do you ship to my city?
We ship Australia-wide from our local warehouse — Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Darwin — with most metro orders arriving in 1–3 business days. Larger enterprise orders shipped by carrier with tracking and signature.

Hikvision M Series · 8K · 32 Channel · 24 PoE
The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4/24P is a 32-channel 8K Network Video Recorder built for serious Australian sites — large factories, multi-building campuses, schools, hotels, car yards, logistics centres and high-end residential estates. The standout feature: 24 built-in PoE ports — eight more than the standard 16-PoE model — so you can power and connect up to 24 cameras directly from the recorder without needing an extra PoE switch. The remaining 8 channels accept IP cameras from your wider network for ANPR, panoramic, fisheye or third-party ONVIF models.

Why 24 PoE ports change the install economics
On a typical 32-channel site, you'd usually need the NVR plus a separate 24-port managed PoE switch — that's another rack unit, another power supply, another point of failure, and another piece of hardware to commission and document. The DS-7732NI-M4/24P collapses all of that into a single 1.5U chassis. Your installer plugs up to 24 cameras directly into the back of the recorder via Cat6 (up to 100 m runs), and the NVR handles power, data and discovery automatically. Faster install, fewer parts, lower total cost of ownership.
24 PoE Ports Built-In
Power and data over a single Cat6 run to 24 cameras, up to 100 m. IEEE 802.3 af/at compliant with a generous 210 W total PoE budget (max 30 W per port) — enough for a full perimeter without an extra PoE switch.
True 32-Channel 32 MP Input
Every channel supports cameras up to 32 MP — mix PanoVu, fisheye, ColorVu and 4K+ AcuSense cameras across a single NVR without throttling resolution or frame rate.
AcuSense Smart Detection

Frequently asked questions
Why choose the 24-PoE version over the 16-PoE model?
If your site needs to power more than 16 cameras directly from the NVR — typical for large warehouses, retail, multi-floor offices, schools and gated estates — the 24-PoE version saves you the cost and complexity of adding a separate PoE switch.
How does it handle 32 cameras with only 24 PoE ports?
Twenty-four cameras connect directly to the NVR's onboard PoE ports for power + data. The remaining 8 channels accept IP cameras from your wider network — either powered by an external PoE switch or by their own power supplies.
Does the DS-7732NI-M4/24P come with hard drives?
The recorder ships as a chassis only. CCTV Guru offers pre-fitted Seagate SkyHawk or WD Purple surveillance drives from 4 TB up to 16 TB per bay — choose your configuration at checkout.
Can it be rack-mounted?
Yes — the 1.5U chassis is compatible with optional rack-mount ears for standard 19" racks. Order the rack-mount kit alongside the NVR if required.
What RAID levels are supported?
RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 are all supported across the 4 SATA bays — letting you balance storage capacity, redundancy and performance for your site.
Do you ship to my city?
We ship Australia-wide from our local warehouse — Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Darwin — with most metro orders arriving in 1–3 business days.

Hikvision M Series · 8K · 32 Channel · 2U Enterprise
The Hikvision DS-9632NI-M8 is a 32-channel 2U enterprise Network Video Recorder — the right-sized choice for medium-to-large Australian sites that need the full enterprise feature set (RAID, hot spare, dual HDMI, dual VGA, rack mount) without the rack space or storage overhead of a 3U chassis. Schools, mid-sized hotels, warehouses, distribution centres, retail chains and multi-tenant offices that run 24-32 cameras and need a recorder built for 24/7 reliability.
This is a non-PoE enterprise chassis — designed for sites that already run a managed PoE switch backbone (or non-PoE camera infrastructure like fibre, wireless backhaul or third-party power injectors). Pair the M8 with your existing switching infrastructure and let it handle recording, AI processing, multi-monitor display and RAID redundancy for all 32 channels in a compact 2U footprint.

Enterprise reliability in a compact 2U footprint
The DS-9632NI-M8 hits the sweet spot for sites that need real enterprise features — RAID, hot spare, redundant network, multi-monitor outputs, rack mounting — but don't need the 256 TB storage or 64-channel scale of the larger M16 chassis. At 2U high and 442 mm wide, it slots cleanly into a comms rack or AV cabinet without dominating it. Up to 128 TB of internal storage across 8 SATA bays gives you 3 months of continuous 4K retention for a typical 32-channel deployment — well beyond most compliance and insurance requirements.
32-Channel 32 MP Input
Every channel supports cameras up to 32 MP — mix PanoVu, fisheye, ColorVu and 4K+ AcuSense cameras across a single NVR without throttling resolution or frame rate.
128 TB Storage Capacity
Eight internal SATA bays accept enterprise-grade surveillance HDDs up to 16 TB each, delivering 3+ months of continuous 4K retention across all 32 cameras.
RAID 0/1/5/6/10 + N+M Hot Spare
Configure full RAID across the 8 SATA bays, plus N+M hot-spare drives that automatically take over if a working drive fails — zero operator intervention, zero footage loss.
Dual HDMI + Dual VGA
Four independent display outputs — HDMI 1 drives a true 8K monitor, HDMI 2 a 4K monitor, plus two independent VGA workstations. Perfect for multi-operator 24/7 control rooms.
320 Mbps Incoming Bandwidth
Comfortably runs all 32 channels at full 4K H.265+ simultaneously — generous bandwidth headroom per camera, so you can fit higher-bitrate streams without compromise.
ANPR, People Counting & Fisheye
Native support for specialty cameras — ANPR for entry/exit gates, people counting for retail or building occupancy, and fisheye / panoramic for wide-area coverage.

ONVIF Compatible
Pairs with third-party ONVIF cameras as well as the full Hikvision IP range, giving you flexibility for hybrid and multi-vendor enterprise sites.
Dual Gigabit Ethernet
Two independent self-adaptive Ethernet ports for network redundancy, load balancing or dual-network segregation (camera VLAN vs viewing VLAN).
Smart Playback & Search
Search recordings across all 32 channels by face, human, vehicle, line-crossing or intrusion event — days of footage reviewed in seconds.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the M8 and the DS-9632NI-M16?
Same 32 channels, same 320 Mbps bandwidth. The M16 has double the SATA bays (16 vs 8) and double the maximum storage (256 TB vs 128 TB), in a slightly taller 3U chassis. Choose the M8 for normal retention needs and tight rack space; choose the M16 if you need 6–12 months of 4K retention.
Why choose this over a PoE NVR like the DS-7732NI-M4/24P?
The DS-7732NI-M4/24P has 24 built-in PoE ports, which is ideal for greenfield small-to-medium sites. The DS-9632NI-M8 has no PoE but offers 8 SATA bays (vs 4), RAID + N+M hot spare, dual HDMI + dual VGA, dual Ethernet and an enterprise 2U chassis — better for sites that already have managed PoE switches and need real enterprise features.
Is there a redundant-power version available?
Yes — the DS-9632NI-M8/R has dual hot-swappable PSUs for sites where power redundancy is mandatory (data centres, critical infrastructure, government).
What RAID levels are supported?
RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 are all supported across the 8 SATA bays, plus N+M hot spare. For most enterprise deployments we recommend RAID 5 (single drive redundancy) or RAID 6 (dual drive redundancy).
