How the Ajax builder works
- Hub — every Ajax system starts with a hub (control panel). Pick Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus or the Hybrid hub, or start from a ready-made StarterKit.
- Detectors — add indoor & outdoor motion detectors, door/window contacts and glass-break sensors for the areas you want protected.
- Fire & flood — optional FireProtect smoke/heat/CO detectors and LeaksProtect water-leak sensors.
- Arming & sirens — keypads, key fobs, panic buttons and indoor/outdoor sirens.

Why is there no price shown on the Ajax builder?
Ajax is a professional, quote-based security system. Rather than list fixed online prices, we tailor a competitive quote to your exact build, location and whether you need supply-only or installation — usually with better pricing than a fixed cart. Do I have to start with a hub?
Yes. The hub (control panel) is the brain of every Ajax system — all detectors, keypads and sirens connect to it over encrypted Jeweller radio and it sends alerts to your phone. Choose a hub or a StarterKit (which includes one) to begin.
What's the difference between Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus?
Hub 2 (4G) supports up to 100 devices with Ethernet and dual-SIM 4G. Hub 2 Plus adds Wi-Fi and supports up to 200 devices and more cameras — best for larger homes and small commercial sites that want extra communication backups.
Is Ajax wireless reliable, and how long do batteries last?
Ajax uses the encrypted, long-range Jeweller protocol with anti-jamming and constant device polling. Detector batteries typically last up to 5–7 years, and the hub has a built-in backup battery so the system keeps running during a power cut.
Can I choose black or white?
Yes — use the finish toggle at the top of the builder to switch the whole system between white and black. Most Ajax devices come in both; a few (some outdoor and water sensors) are a single colour and we'll fit the closest match.
