How the intercom builder works
- Wiring — choose IP/PoE or 2-Wire. This filters the door stations and monitors that work together.
- Door station — villa (1–4 button VTO villa station) or apartment (OLED/keypad multi-tenant VTO).
- Indoor monitors — add a 7" or 10" VTH indoor monitor for each room, set the quantity.
- Mounting & extras — add the right surface or flush mount box, rain shields, plus spare fobs and access cards.
- Network & power — the builder auto-adds the correctly sized Dahua PoE switch (IP) or VTNC3000A 2-wire controller.

Should I choose an IP or a 2-Wire Dahua intercom?
Choose IP / PoE for new builds, app control (DMSS), multiple indoor monitors and integration with your Dahua CCTV. Choose 2-Wire when you're retrofitting and want to reuse existing 2-core cable — Dahua 2-wire runs the same IP intercom over two non-polarised wires via a VTNC3000A controller, the simplest upgrade from an old analogue intercom.
How many indoor monitors can I add?
You can add an indoor station for every room you want to answer the door from — bedroom, kitchen, office. The builder auto-sizes the PoE switch (IP) or VTNC3000A controller (2-Wire) for every door station and monitor in your system.
How does Dahua 2-Wire intercom work?
Modern Dahua 2-Wire is IP-over-2-wire: the VTO door station and VTH monitors still talk IP, but ride on two non-polarised wires through a VTNC3000A network controller that injects power and data. It's ideal for replacing legacy analogue cabling without running new Cat6, while keeping DMSS app control and HD video.
