What's the difference between a system builder and a pre-made kit?
A pre-made kit is a fixed bundle. The system builder (or system designer) lets you choose different camera types per location and sizes the recorder and storage to match, so you only pay for what your property actually needs.
How many cameras and what NVR do I need?
Choose your cameras first and the builder automatically selects an NVR with enough channels and PoE ports. As a rule of thumb, allow one channel per camera plus a little room to expand.
How much hard-drive storage do I need for CCTV?
It depends on your camera count, resolution and how many days of footage you want to keep. Set a retention target in the builder and it sizes the surveillance hard drive (2TB–14TB) for you.
Can I build an alarm, intercom or smart home kit too?
