How the alarm builder works
- Control panel — choose AX PRO wireless or AX Hybrid Pro. This is the brain of your system and decides which devices are compatible.
- Detectors & sensors — add PIR motion detectors, dual-tech & PIRCAM detectors, door/window contacts and outdoor detectors, with quantities for each room and entry point.
- Keypads, sirens & extras — arm/disarm keypads & tag readers, indoor/outdoor sirens, keyfobs, panic buttons, smoke & water detectors, and range/connectivity add-ons.
- Power & pairing — for hybrid panels the builder auto-adds the required 14.3VDC PSU, plus the Tri-X receiver when you mix in wireless devices.

Should I choose an AX PRO wireless or an AX Hybrid Pro alarm?
Choose AX PRO wireless for fast retrofits and most homes — battery detectors, no cabling, app control and a built-in 4G/Wi-Fi hub. Choose AX Hybrid Pro when you want hard-wired detector zones (more resilient for larger homes and commercial sites) — it still supports wireless devices through the Tri-X receiver, so you can mix both.
How many detectors can I add to a Hikvision alarm?
The AX PRO and AX Hybrid Pro panels support dozens of zones — far more than a typical home or small business needs. Add a PIR for each room, a contact for each external door and accessible window, and outdoor detectors for perimeter protection. For very large sites we'll confirm zone capacity and any repeaters on your quote.
What gets added automatically?
For an AX Hybrid Pro panel the builder auto-adds the required 14.3VDC power supply, and — if you include any wireless detectors, keypads or sirens — the DS-PM1-RT-HWB Tri-X receiver that pairs them to the panel. AX PRO wireless hubs are self-powered and need nothing extra; a wireless repeater is offered as an optional range add-on.
Can I control the alarm from my phone, and with CCTV?
Yes. Both ranges connect to the free Hik-Connect app for arm/disarm, notifications and remote checks, and integrate with Hikvision CCTV and AX Pro-ready intercom monitors (e.g. the DS-KH9310/9510 Android indoor stations) for a single security solution.
