The Hikvision iDS-7332HUHI-M4/S is a 1.5U, 32-channel Turbo HD DVR designed for larger homes, retail sites, schools, warehouses and commercial premises. It accepts up to 32 analogue cameras over BNC/coax, can be expanded for up to 64 IP camera channels, and adds AcuSense human and vehicle filtering to help operators find meaningful events faster.
It is particularly useful when you want to retain an existing coaxial cable network while moving to higher-resolution cameras, smarter event detection and a larger storage platform.

Before you buy: DVR, not a PoE NVR
- This recorder has 32 BNC inputs for HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI and CVBS cameras.
- It does not include built-in PoE network ports. IP cameras require a separate PoE switch or suitable power supply.
- No hard drives are included unless they are specifically selected or stated in the offer.
- High-resolution analogue frame rates vary: 8 MP records at up to 8 fps, while 5 MP records at up to 12 fps.

The model name refers to its 32 physical analogue inputs. Hikvision also lists 32 IP inputs, expandable to a maximum of 64 IP channels. Actual mixed-channel configuration and performance depend on enabled analogue channels, camera resolution, bandwidth and recorder settings.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a 32-channel or 64-channel recorder?It has 32 physical BNC inputs for analogue cameras. Hikvision lists 32 IP inputs, expandable up to 64 IP channels, subject to the recorder's configuration, bandwidth and resolution limits.
Does it power IP cameras through PoE?No. It has two Gigabit Ethernet ports but no built-in PoE switch. IP cameras need a separate PoE switch or suitable power supply.
Does it record 8 MP at real-time frame rates?No. The official maximum is 8 MP at 8 fps. It records 5 MP at up to 12 fps, while 1080p and lower resolutions can reach 25 fps PAL or 30 fps NTSC.
How many hard drives can it take?It has four internal SATA bays. Hikvision Australia's current product page lists up to 12 TB per drive, giving a maximum listed internal capacity of 48 TB.
Is AcuSense available on every analogue channel?Motion Detection 2.0 human and vehicle classification is available on all analogue channels. Perimeter protection supports up to 16 specified analogue channels.
Can it replace an older analogue DVR?Often, yes. It accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI and CVBS inputs, but camera format, resolution, frame rate, power and cabling should be checked before ordering.
Can it show different views on two monitors?Yes. HDMI 2 is independent, while HDMI 1 and VGA display the same output. HDMI 2 supports up to 4K resolution.
Which firmware should I install?Use firmware that explicitly matches the exact iDS-7332HUHI-M4/S model and Australian/Asia region. Do not install European or iDS-7332HUHI-M4/S(S) firmware unless Hikvision support confirms compatibility.
