The AXIS C8110 Network Audio Bridge is the missing link between legacy analog audio and modern IP audio. It is a compact, standalone hub that lets you feed analog sources into Axis network speakers, or push network audio out to an existing analog amplifier and speaker line — or run both at once as a hybrid system. With mic-in, line-in and line-out, SIP/VoIP support, two supervised I/Os for buttons and relays, and the full AXIS Audio Manager Edge application built in, one bridge can bring zone management, scheduling and content prioritisation to an audio estate you have already paid for. It runs on PoE Class 2 (max 4 W) or 8–28 V DC, and weighs just 107 g.

Keep the speakers, gain the network
Ripping out a working analog PA system is expensive and disruptive. The C8110 lets you avoid it. Connect its line-out to your existing analog amplifier and the whole legacy speaker line suddenly inherits IP features: scheduled bell tones and music, event-triggered announcements from your surveillance cameras, SIP callouts from the phone system, and zoning. Run it the other way and any analog source — an intercom, a mixing desk, a music streaming box, a 2N SIP Mic — becomes an input to your Axis network speakers. A single bridge serves hundreds of speakers, which makes it one of the most cost-effective devices in the Axis audio range.
Works both directions
Analog in to network speakers, network audio out to analog amplifiers, or a hybrid of both. Mic-in, line-in and line-out on 3.5 mm and RCA connectors cover almost any legacy interface.
SIP and VoIP callouts
Register the bridge to a PBX peer-to-peer or via SIP/PBX. Tested with Cisco, Bria and Grandstream clients and Cisco and Asterisk PBXs, with SRTP, SIPS, SIP TLS and NAT traversal supported.
I/Os for buttons and relays
A 4-pin terminal block provides two supervised configurable I/Os — wire up a mute button, a panic trigger, a door contact or an external relay to drive announcements and actions.
AXIS Audio Manager Edge built in
Zone management for up to 200 speakers across 20 zones, content scheduling, prioritisation, health monitoring and user management — no server, no licence. AXIS Audio Manager Center adds free multi-site control.

What does the AXIS C8110 actually do?It bridges analog and network audio in both directions. Analog sources can be injected into Axis network speakers, and network audio can be sent out to an existing analog amplifier and speaker line. You can also run a hybrid of both simultaneously.
What audio connections does it have?Mic-in, line-in and line-out. Physically that is a 3-pole 3.5 mm connector plus an RCA line output, so it interfaces with most legacy mixers, amplifiers, intercoms and streaming boxes.
Can I keep my existing analog PA speakers?Yes — that is the main use case. Feed the C8110 line-out into your current analog amplifier and the existing speaker line gains IP scheduling, zoning, event-triggered announcements and SIP callouts without replacing any speakers.
How is it powered?Either PoE IEEE 802.3af Type 1 Class 2 (max 4 W) from a standard switch, or 8–28 V DC via the 2-pin terminal block. Typical consumption is only 1.85 W.
Does it support phone system integration?Yes. SIP is supported peer-to-peer or through a SIP/PBX, with SRTP, SIPS, SIP TLS and NAT traversal. Axis has tested it with Cisco, Bria and Grandstream clients and Cisco and Asterisk PBX platforms.
How many speakers can one bridge handle?The built-in AXIS Audio Manager Edge supports up to 200 speakers divided into 20 zones, so a single C8110 is enough for a substantial site. AXIS Audio Manager Center coordinates multiple sites free of charge.
Can I connect a microphone?Yes, via the mic-in. For a weatherproof network microphone with edge analytics such as aggression, glass break and gunshot detection, Axis recommends pairing the C8110 with the AXIS TU1002-VE Microphone Kit.
Can it be installed outdoors?No. The casing is IP20-rated only and the operating range is -20 °C to 50 °C at 10–85% RH. Mount it indoors in a comms cabinet, rack or equipment room — it is only 24 x 56 x 128 mm and includes a hook-and-loop fastener.
Does it take an SD card?Yes. It supports microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 1 TB with AES-XTS 256-bit encryption. A card is not included in the box.
