Advanced Layer 3 Switching & Etherlighting™ Diagnostics
Built to streamline network administration in fast-paced deployments, the USW-Pro-Max-48-PoE features patented Etherlighting™ technology. Ports light up to indicate port location, speed, native VLAN configuration, and active PoE status, allowing technicians to perform quick visual auditing directly at the rack. With inter-VLAN routing, static routing, and DHCP server capabilities, this Layer 3 switch offloads routing tasks from core gateway routers to ensure optimum internal data flow. Integration with the UniFi Network application enables multi-site management, real-time metrics, dynamic network visual topologies, and secure cloud configuration from anywhere.
Etherlighting™ Port Visualization
Patented illuminated RJ45 ports provide clear visual indicators for link speed, native VLAN assignment, operational status, and dynamic location tracking directly on the physical hardware.
High-Capacity 720W PoE Architecture
Equipped with 16 2.5GbE 60W PoE++ ports (802.3bt) and 32 1GbE 30W PoE+ ports (802.3at) to easily power multi-gigabit wireless APs, PTZ cameras, and VoIP infrastructure.
High-Speed 10G SFP+ Uplinks
Four 10Gbps SFP+ ports provide high-bandwidth fiber link backhauls to core switches or network storage systems, avoiding bandwidth bottlenecks across campus networks.
Mission-Critical Power Redundancy
Includes a dedicated DC input port compatible with the UniFi Smart Power Redundant Power System (USP-RPS) for protection against internal AC supply failures.

Is the Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Max-48-PoE NDAA compliant?
Yes. The USW-Pro-Max-48-PoE complies with National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) guidelines, making it suitable for deployment in government-funded projects, commercial enterprises, and infrastructure requiring NDAA compliance.
What is Ubiquiti Etherlighting™ and how does it work?
Etherlighting™ is an integrated port illumination feature that lights up individual RJ45 ports in customizable colors. It visually identifies port location, operational link speeds, specific VLAN configurations, or custom alerts, significantly speeding up on-site maintenance.
Can this switch provide 60W PoE++ power for Wi-Fi 7 access points?
Yes. Ports 1 through 16 support 60W PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) per port up to 2.5Gbps speeds, providing sufficient power and data bandwidth for demanding multi-gigabit devices like Wi-Fi 7 Access Points and high-draw PTZ cameras.
How is power redundancy achieved with the USW-Pro-Max-48-PoE?
In addition to its standard internal AC power supply, the switch features a rear USP-RPS DC input port. Connecting it to a UniFi Smart Power Redundant Power System ensures uninterrupted operation if the primary internal AC power fails. Official Ubiquiti Stock
