Compare Dahua Xinghan AI cameras and PRO NVRs. Learn which camera style, recorder size, search features and power setup suit your CCTV system.
Dahua’s Xinghan name appears on cameras and recorders, but those products do different jobs. The right choice starts with what you need to see, which events you want to detect and how you want to find recordings afterwards—not simply the highest megapixel or channel count.
This guide compares models in our Dahua Xinghan AI Cameras & NVRs collection for Australian CCTV installations. Use the linked model pages for current pricing, availability, specifications and downloads.

What does Xinghan do in a CCTV system?
In a camera: Xinghan Vision models support detection, classification or tracking on selected models. The available functions vary: a fixed turret, a motorised bullet and a panoramic PTZ are not interchangeable just because they share the Xinghan name.
In a recorder: the PRO NVRs compared below provide recorder-side analytics and search, including WizSeek on supported firmware. A recorder’s video-channel count is not the same as its AI processing capacity. Camera-side analytics and recorder-side AI have different limits and configuration requirements.
WizMind, WizSense, AcuPick and NVR NEXT labels alone do not confirm Xinghan support. Check the exact model and firmware rather than assuming every product in a wider range has the same capabilities.

Check the complete system before ordering
-
AI compatibility: camera-side analytics, recorder-side AI, AcuPick and WizSeek are separate capabilities. Confirm the exact camera/NVR firmware, enabled analytics, target-processing limits and supported channels.
-
Power: check both per-port power and the total PoE budget against every camera’s maximum consumption. An 8-port recorder does not necessarily power eight high-power cameras at full load. Some models need PoE+, Hi-PoE or DC power.
-
Recording: allow for bitrate, AI-enabled bandwidth, retention days and surveillance HDD capacity. Multi-sensor cameras may occupy more than one recorder channel. Drive bays do not mean drives are included.

Common questions
Do I need the largest NVR for the best analytics?
No. More recording channels or HDD bays do not automatically mean more channels of every AI function. Start with your video streams, planned expansion and retention period, then check the recorder’s AI-enabled performance for the features you intend to use.
Can I keep my existing Dahua cameras?
Possibly. Selected PRO recorder functions can work with compatible cameras that do not themselves use Xinghan. Normal video recording, camera-generated events and advanced search have different compatibility requirements. Have your exact camera models and firmware checked before replacing equipment.
Does a 16-channel NVR always have 16 powered ports?
No. Video channels and PoE ports are separate specifications. For example, the 32-channel PRO model in the table has 16 built-in PoE ports, while the 64-channel model has none. External switches and suitable power may be needed even when the recorder has spare video channels.
Which combination is best for my property?
For fixed views, begin with the 6MP or 8MP turret options and an appropriately sized PRO recorder. Use a motorised lens when you need to adjust framing, or a panoramic PTZ when you need an overview and moving detail view. Final selection depends on target distance, lighting, mounting position, network layout and power—not just the product family.
