The Dahua DH-SDT4E425-4F-GB-A-PV1 is an X-Spans series dual-sensor PTZ — two cameras inside one IP66, surge-protected housing. The panorama channel is a 4 MP 1/2.8" CMOS paired with a 2.8 mm F1.0 large-aperture lens, capturing a 101° wide-angle scene at all times with class-leading low-light performance (0.001 lux colour). The detail channel is a 4 MP 1/2.8" Sony STARVIS™ CMOS PTZ with 5 – 125 mm F1.6 – F3.6 motorised optics, 25× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom — detecting targets at 2,500 m and identifying them at 250 m. The detail head's Smart Dual Light array delivers 100 m IR plus 50 m white light. Smart Tracking links the two channels so the PTZ automatically slews onto anything the panorama's AI flags. The WizSense platform runs Auto Tracking 3.0, SMD 4.0 and Quick Pick smart search. Active deterrence stacks red/blue light warning with 11 built-in sound alarms (plus custom uploads) and a built-in speaker. Power is PoE+ (802.3at) or 12 VDC 3 A, in a chassis rated –40 °C to +65 °C with TVS 6000 V lightning, surge and voltage-transient protection. Backed by a 3-year Australian warranty through CCTV Guru. The 2.8 mm F1.0 large-aperture lens is the brightest panorama lens in Dahua's X-Spans family. Minimum colour illumination of 0.001 lux gives the panorama channel near-Starlight performance even in moonless yards — five times better than the F1.4 build.
25× Optical Zoom · 250 m Identify Range
The detail PTZ runs 5 – 125 mm motorised optics with Sony STARVIS™ sensor. DORI Identify distance is 250 m at the tele end — long enough to read clothing and recognise faces across an entire carpark or paddock approach.
Smart Tracking Without Operator Intervention
Auto Tracking 3.0 and IVS linkage let the panorama channel hand off targets to the detail PTZ automatically — the PTZ slews onto whatever the AI classifies as a person or vehicle and keeps it framed without an operator touching the joystick.
TiOC Active Deterrence on a PTZ
Most active-deterrence cameras are fixed bullets or turrets. This camera mounts the full TiOC stack — red/blue strobe with three flash frequencies, an 11-sound audible alarm library and a built-in speaker — on a 25× PTZ that can challenge an intruder anywhere in its hemisphere.
Fast Slew · 240°/s Preset Speed
Preset speed reaches 240°/s pan and 200°/s tilt — meaningfully faster than the larger 8+4 sibling. The PTZ can scan a 300-preset tour or auto-patrol after an IVS event without lagging behind the action.
Built for Harsh Australian Outdoor
IP66 sealed against driving rain, TVS 6000 V lightning + surge + voltage-transient protection, and rated operating range from –40 °C to +65 °C. Suitable for everything from Alpine highway sites through to the Pilbara.
Important Install Note — PoE+ Required
This camera draws a maximum of 25 W when illuminator, heater, active deterrence, ICR and PTZ are all active. It requires 802.3at PoE+, not standard 802.3af. On any deployment longer than 90 m, factor in cable resistance — for runs approaching the 100 m Ethernet limit we recommend either a local 12 VDC 3 A supply at the camera or a quality 802.3at midspan injector rather than relying on an underspecified PoE+ switch budget. Wall, ceiling, parapet, corner and pole brackets are all listed in the Compatible Mounts section below.

Auto Tracking 3.0
Dahua's third-generation auto-tracking engine handles AI-driven human and vehicle following. The detail PTZ locks onto targets the panorama channel identifies and keeps them framed through pan, tilt, zoom and focus adjustments — fully autonomous.
Quick Pick Smart Search
Quick Pick lets you search recorded video by event type — motion, intrusion, tripwire, vehicle classification — and jump straight to the matching clips. Cuts investigation review time from hours of scrubbing down to minutes of targeted playback.
Full WizSense IVS Library
Tripwire, intrusion, climbing-fences detection, loitering, abandoned/missing object, fast-moving, parking detection, people gathering and human/vehicle alarm classification. Each event can trigger a preset, tour, capture, record, email or auto-patrol routine.
SMD 4.0 Smart Motion
Smart Motion Detection 4.0 filters out animal and foliage motion at the edge — leaving alerts on people and vehicles only. Slashes false-alarm volume across rural yards, carparks and bushland-adjacent sites.
TiOC Active Deterrence Stack
Red/blue light warning with three flash frequencies (high/medium/low) and 5 – 30 s duration. 11 built-in sound alarms plus importable custom sounds. Built-in speaker for site-specific challenges.
Smart Dual Light +
The detail head's dual-light array combines IR with white light. After dark the IR runs covertly until the AI classifies a target, then the 50 m white light triggers to capture full-colour evidence of the event.
PTZ Kinematics
360° Endless Pan (Detail Head)
Continuous 360° pan rotation on the detail PTZ with no mechanical stop — the PTZ can follow a target through any heading without re-homing. Panorama head tilts 13° to 23° for initial scene framing.
–15° to +90° Tilt with Auto Flip
Detail tilt range covers straight down to slightly above horizon. Auto-flip 180° lets the camera track a target passing directly underneath the housing without losing the view.
Fast Manual & Preset Speeds
Manual control to 200°/s pan and 120°/s tilt. Preset speed pushes to 240°/s pan and 200°/s tilt — faster than the larger X-Spans sibling, useful for IVS-triggered scene checks.
300 Presets · 8 Tours · 5 Patterns · 5 Scans
Up to 300 stored presets, 8 multi-stop tours (32 presets each), 5 recorded patterns and 5 line scans. Power-off memory keeps the position on reboot.
