Does it record colour at night?
It uses infrared for night viewing, so very low-light and night footage will normally switch to monochrome. This is not a white-light ColorVu camera.
Can it count people and monitor queues?
Yes. DeepinView analytics include attribute-based people counting and queue management. Accurate results depend on suitable positioning and configuration.
Can I adjust the lens remotely?
Yes. Both lens options are motorised, with remote zoom and focus to simplify commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the VIGI C340 and the VIGI C340I?
The VIGI C340 uses full-colour night vision with spotlight LEDs, producing colour footage in complete darkness. The VIGI C340I uses infrared (IR) LEDs, producing black-and-white footage in low-light and dark conditions. The C340 is preferred where colour detail at night is important for identification — such as driveways, car parks, and building entrances. The C340I is preferred where discreet monitoring is required, as the IR LEDs are invisible to the naked eye and the camera does not emit visible light at night.
What is the difference between IP66 and IP67?
Both ratings provide full dust protection (IP6X). IP66 protects against powerful water jets from any direction — suitable for all outdoor Australian weather conditions including heavy rain. IP67 additionally protects against temporary water immersion up to 1 metre. For standard outdoor mounting on walls, eaves, and poles, IP66 is more than sufficient. The VIGI C240 dome camera carries IP67 if immersion protection is required.
Does the VIGI C340 record audio?
Yes. The VIGI C340 has a built-in microphone for one-way audio recording. Audio surveillance in Australia may require compliance with state and federal privacy legislation, including signage requirements. Consult your legal obligations before enabling audio recording in workplaces or public areas.
Can the VIGI C340 operate without an NVR?

Does it require PoE+ or will standard PoE work?
PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4) is required, or a local 24 V AC supply. Standard 802.3af will not run the camera under full multi-sensor load — the camera draws up to 25.5 W.
