Does Eve Outdoor Cam work with Android or Google Home?
No. Eve Outdoor Cam is built exclusively for Apple HomeKit Secure Video and is controlled through the Apple Home or Eve app on an iPhone or iPad. It is not compatible with Android, Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
Do I need an Apple TV or HomePod?
Yes. To record footage, receive people/pet/vehicle/package notifications and view the camera while away, you need a home hub — a HomePod or Apple TV (4th generation or later). The hub analyses the video locally for privacy.
Is there a subscription fee?
There is no subscription to Eve. HomeKit Secure Video recordings are stored in iCloud, so an iCloud+ plan (50 GB or higher, not included) is required. Camera recordings do not count against your iCloud+ storage.

How does the floodlight work?
The built-in dimmable floodlight turns on automatically the moment the dedicated motion sensor detects activity. Set if, when and for how long it illuminates in the Eve app, or tap light boost to make it shine extra-bright.
How is it powered and installed?
Eve Outdoor Cam is hardwired to mains AC power (100–240 V) and requires both a neutral wire and a connection to ground. It is best installed replacing an existing outdoor light and offers three-axis angle adjustment for easy aiming.
