The Eve Energy is a Matter-over-Thread smart plug with a built-in power meter, so you can switch lights and appliances on and off by app or voice — and see exactly how much energy they use. Because it speaks Matter, a single Eve Energy works across Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings at the same time. It fits a standard Australian Type I socket, handles loads up to 10 A / 2300 W, and — being mains-powered and always on — doubles as a Thread router node that extends the range and reliability of your smart-home network. No Eve account, no subscription, and schedules can run locally on the device for rock-solid reliability.
See what everything costs
A built-in power meter tracks real-time watts and total energy use for the connected appliance, so you can find the power-hungry devices in your home and view consumption history in the Eve app.
One plug, every platform
Thanks to Matter, a single Eve Energy works across Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings — control it by app or by voice through Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa.
Strengthens your Thread mesh
Mains-powered and always on, Eve Energy is a Full Thread Device that acts as a router node — relaying data for your other Thread accessories and extending the range and stability of the network.
Private by design
No Eve account, no registration and no subscription. Schedules can run locally on the device, so lights and appliances switch on time even without an internet connection.
Do I need a hub to use Eve Energy?
Yes. As a Matter-over-Thread device, Eve Energy needs a Thread border router that also supports Matter — for example a HomePod, Apple TV, Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) or Amazon Echo (4th gen). The hub lets you control the plug remotely and add it to automations.
Which smart home platforms does it work with?
Because it uses Matter, one Eve Energy works across Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings — even at the same time. Control it by app or by voice through Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa.
What is the maximum load?
Eve Energy is rated for a maximum load of 10 A / 2300 W on 240 V AU mains and fits a standard Australian Type I (AS 3112) socket. Do not exceed the rated load.
Can it track power consumption?
Yes. A built-in power meter measures real-time watts and total energy use of the connected appliance, so you can see exactly what a device costs to run and view the history in the Eve app.
Does it improve my Thread network?
Yes. Because it is mains-powered and always on, Eve Energy acts as a Full Thread Device (router node), relaying data for other Thread accessories and extending the range and stability of your mesh network.
Is it indoor only, and does it need an Eve account?
It is designed for indoor use. There is no Eve account, registration or subscription required — your data stays private, and scheduling can even run locally on the device.
