Does Eve Cam work with Android or Google Home?
No. Eve Cam is built exclusively for Apple HomeKit Secure Video and is controlled through the Apple Home or Eve app on an iPhone or iPad. It is not compatible with Android, Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
Do I need an Apple TV or HomePod?
Yes. To record footage, receive people/pet/vehicle notifications and view the camera while away, you need a home hub — a HomePod or Apple TV (4th generation or later). The hub analyses the video locally for privacy.
Is there a subscription fee?
There is no subscription to Eve. HomeKit Secure Video recordings are stored in iCloud, so an iCloud+ plan (50 GB or higher, not included) is required. Camera recordings do not count against your iCloud+ storage.
Indoor or outdoor?

Does my footage go to the cloud or to Eve?
No. The live stream is end-to-end encrypted and never reaches any cloud — not even iCloud. Recordings are analysed locally on your Apple hub and stored, encrypted, only in your own iCloud. Eve requires no account or registration.
How is it powered and mounted?
USB powered (5 V / 1 A) with a 220 cm cable and Australian Type I plug in the box. The 360° × 180° magnetic base stands on a surface or attaches to the included wall-mount plate.
