Does the G5 Dome Ultra require a UniFi Protect subscription?
No. UniFi Protect runs locally on a UniFi NVR or Dream Machine. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required.
What do I need to run the G5 Dome Ultra?
A UniFi Protect host — such as a UNVR, Cloud Key Gen2 Plus, or a UniFi Dream Machine Pro/SE/Wall — plus a PoE switch or injector to power the camera.
Is it an indoor or outdoor camera?
The G5 Dome Ultra is designed for low-profile indoor security. It is IK06 tamper-resistant with a −20°C to 40°C operating range.
