Is this a managed switch?
Yes. It's a Layer 2 managed switch with VLANs, LACP, STP/RSTP, IGMP snooping, ACLs and more, configured in the UniFi Network app (v7.2.94+).
Does it need a separate UniFi controller?
For full management it's adopted into UniFi Network, which can run on a UniFi host (Cloud Gateway, Cloud Key, Dream Machine) or a self-hosted controller.
Is it noisy?
No. The switch is fanless and completely silent, making it suitable for offices, studios, and living areas.
Can it be wall-mounted?
Yes. A wall-mount kit is included; it can also sit on a desktop or shelf.
