True WiFi 7 Performance
Built on the 802.11be (WiFi 7) standard with backward compatibility for WiFi 6/5/n, delivering data rates up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for fast, reliable connectivity.
5 Spatial Streams
A 3×3 MIMO radio on 5 GHz plus 2×2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz with DL/UL MU-MIMO keeps throughput high even when many devices connect at once.
Extended Long-Range Coverage
High-gain antennas (6 dBi on 5 GHz, 4 dBi on 2.4 GHz) cover up to 160 m² from a single AP — fewer access points to blanket open spaces.
2.5 GbE Uplink
A single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port removes the gigabit bottleneck so WiFi 7 throughput reaches your network backbone without congestion.
300+ Connected Devices
Engineered for high-density environments, the U7-LR supports 300+ simultaneous clients — ideal for busy offices, classrooms, and event spaces.
Single-Cable PoE Install
One Ethernet cable carries power and data (max 14 W, 42.5–57 V DC). Pairs with any UniFi PoE switch and mounts to ceiling or wall with the included plate.
UniFi Network — No Subscription
Provision and monitor the U7-LR through the UniFi Network controller and mobile app — advanced radio management, band steering, fast roaming, and guest portals with no monthly fees.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA Section 889 compliant for government, defence, and security-sensitive deployments where supply-chain integrity matters.
UniFi U7-LR Access Point
WiFi 7 long-range access point (U7-LR).
Mounting Kit
Plastic ceiling/wall mounting plate with screws and anchors.
Documentation
Quick-start guide and installation instructions.
Not Included
A PoE switch/injector and network cable are required and sold separately.
Does the U7-LR need a subscription?
No. The U7-LR is managed locally through the UniFi Network controller running on a Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine, or Cloud Key — no monthly fees or cloud subscription.
What do I need to run the U7-LR?
A UniFi Network host (such as a UniFi Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine, or Cloud Key) plus a PoE switch or injector to power the access point over a single Ethernet cable.
How is it powered?
Over PoE (42.5–57 V DC), drawing a maximum of 14 W. A UniFi PoE switch is the simplest option for single-pane management.
How much area does it cover?
Up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²) per unit, with high-gain antennas for extended long-range coverage. Actual range varies with building materials and layout.
Is the U7-LR NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the U7-LR is NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
Can it be used outdoors?
The U7-LR is designed as an indoor ceiling/wall access point and is not rated for unprotected outdoor exposure. For outdoor coverage, choose a weatherproof UniFi outdoor AP.
