Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ — 6 MP Smart Dual Light Fixed-Focal Eyeball Turret WizSense Network Camera (3667 Series)
The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ is a 6 MP WizSense 3 outdoor eyeball turret IP camera with a fixed-focal 2.8 mm F1.4 lens (3.6 mm option also available). The 1/2.7" CMOS sensor outputs 3288 × 1850 at 25/30 fps with Smart H.265+ encoding, and Dahua's Smart Dual Light engine pairs a 30 m IR illuminator with a 30 m warm-light array — the camera runs invisible IR after dark, then flips to full-colour white light the instant WizSense classifies a person or vehicle in the scene. WDR is rated at 120 dB, the compact 105.5 × Φ122 mm housing is IP67 sealed across –40 °C to +60 °C (Alpine-rated), and the on-board electronics include a built-in microphone, audio compression and a 1/1 alarm wet-contact pair. Edge AcuPick, SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection run on the WizSense 3 deep-learning chip; peak draw is only 9.5 W on standard 802.3af PoE — among the lightest power profiles in the 6 MP turret class. Built for Australian residential, NDIS, small-business and shopfront installs where a discreet ceiling/soffit-mounted eyeball is preferred over a visible bullet — driveways, alfresco entries, awnings, granny-flat verandahs, retail interiors and undercover carparks. Backed by a 3-year Australian warranty through CCTV Guru. SKU 3667 series.

Why Choose the Dahua HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ Turret
This is the WizSense 3 6 MP eyeball turret that punches above its price tier — same sensor and AI as the more expensive motorised-zoom HFW3667T, in a compact, low-profile ceiling/soffit-friendly chassis. Below are the six reasons it consistently outperforms generic 6 MP turrets on Australian sites.
True 6 MP Image, Not Upscaled
The 1/2.7" CMOS captures a native 3288 × 1850 raster — more than double the pixel density of 1080p. Digital zoom into faces, plates and signage stays usable instead of dissolving into a noise field.
Discreet Eyeball Form Factor
At only 105.5 × Φ122 mm and 0.53 kg, the HDW3667EM mounts cleanly to eaves, soffits, awnings and undercover ceilings — places where a bullet camera would look bulky or non-residential. Modern minimalist aesthetic for retail, NDIS and architectural homes.
Smart Dual Light, No Light Pollution
30 m IR runs invisibly until WizSense classifies a person or vehicle, then the 30 m warm-light array switches on the target to capture full-colour evidence. No permanent white-light wash for neighbours to complain about.
120 dB WDR Holds the Frame
Strong wide dynamic range holds detail in both bright sky and dark interior in a single frame — important for awning-shaded entries, glass shopfronts, and the high-contrast Australian midday sun where lesser cameras blow out one side.
AcuPick-Ready Edge AI
Paired with a Dahua AcuPick NVR, you can search hours of recorded video by attributes — "red top, blue trousers, walking east" — and pull matching clips in seconds rather than scrubbing the timeline by hand.
Lowest Power Draw in the Class
Maximum 9.5 W on PoE — comfortable on any 802.3af switch, including the integrated PoE ports on Dahua's compact NVRs. Lower running cost over the camera's lifetime and easier to budget on shared-PoE switches.
Important Install Note
The HDW3667EM is a fixed-focal turret — frame the camera carefully at install time, as there's no remote re-framing later. The eyeball gimbal allows ±75° pan, ±75° tilt and 0–360° rotation at the mount, so framing is flexible at install but locked once tightened. For outdoor installs in exposed coastal or humid positions, we recommend pairing with the DH-PFA137 in-ceiling junction box to keep condensation off the RJ-45 termination. The compact body fits common Australian eave-soffit cutouts without needing a wall-bracket arm.
AI & Smart Detection Capabilities
AcuPick Target Search
Deep-learning attribute matching across people and vehicles. Find a target across hours of recorded video by colour, top/bottom clothing, vehicle type and direction — when paired with a compatible Dahua AcuPick NVR.
SMD 4.0 — Smart Motion Detection
Motion alerts triggered only by humans and vehicles. Wind-blown branches, small animals, possums on a fence and shadows are filtered out at the edge — slashing false-alarm volume on residential and small-business sites.
Perimeter Protection (IVS)
Configurable tripwire and intrusion zones with human-and-vehicle classification. Draw a line across a driveway or a polygon around a yard and only get pushed an alert when the right type of target crosses it.
Smart Dual Light Deterrence
When WizSense classifies a person in the warm-light zone, the white-light array triggers automatically — leaving subjects in no doubt they have been captured in full colour. A passive deterrent that costs nothing extra in licensing or hardware.
AI SSA — Scene Self-Adaptation
The camera detects environmental conditions like rain, fog, backlight, low light and flicker, and automatically adjusts image parameters to keep the scene clear without an operator touching the settings.
Smart Search & Event Extraction
Pairs with a Smart NVR to refine intelligent search, extract and merge event video. Skip past hours of empty footage and jump straight to the moments where something the AI flagged as relevant happened.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Dahua HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ NDAA compliant?
No. Dahua is not certified under NDAA Section 889. If your project has an NDAA mandate (US federal, certain Australian government contracts, or critical-infrastructure tenders that follow the same standard), choose a NDAA-compliant brand from our range instead.
What's the difference between the 2.8 mm and 3.6 mm lens options?
2.8 mm gives a wider 110° horizontal field of view — best for shopfronts, single driveways, hallway interiors and small carparks where coverage matters more than range. 3.6 mm narrows the field but pushes more pixels onto distant targets — better for longer driveways and front-fence approaches.
Does this camera include AcuPick?
Yes — AcuPick attribute search is built into the camera's WizSense 3 firmware. To actually search recorded footage by attributes you must record to a compatible Dahua AcuPick NVR running V5 firmware.
Should I choose the turret or the bullet (HFW3667E) version?
Functionally identical sensor, AI and Smart Dual Light. Choose the turret HDW3667EM for discreet ceiling/soffit/eave mounting — modern minimalist aesthetic, blends into architecture. Choose the bullet HFW3667E when you want the camera to be visibly seen as a deterrent.
How far can it see at night?
Smart Dual Light gives 30 m on IR and 30 m on warm light. DORI Identify range (where a face is recognisable) is roughly 8.5 m at the 2.8 mm lens. For longer range, the motorised-zoom HFW3667T-ZAS-IL-ANZ variant pushes Identify out to 28 m at its tele setting.
Can I run this camera on standard PoE?
Yes — it is 802.3af-compliant and pulls a maximum of only 9.5 W. Any quality 802.3af switch with budget headroom will run it comfortably — the lowest power draw in its 6 MP turret class.
Does it have a microphone?
Yes, the camera has a built-in microphone. NDIS, retail and public-space sites should check local audio-recording legislation before enabling sound recording.
Does it work with third-party NVRs?
Yes — it supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it will record to any ONVIF-compatible third-party NVR. Note that AcuPick attribute search and SMD 4.0 alarm push only work end-to-end on a genuine Dahua AI NVR.
What temperature range is it rated for?
–40 °C to +60 °C — the same wide cold-tolerance window as the bullet variant. Suitable for Alpine NSW, Tasmanian highland, and any AU site that sees overnight frost.
Can I view the camera live on my phone?
Yes — the camera works with Dahua's free DMSS app on iOS and Android. Add the device with the QR code on the housing, sign in, and you get live view, two-way audio, motion alerts and recorded-footage playback from anywhere with internet. No subscription required.
