6MP Sharp Detail
Two 6MP (3072 × 2048) turret cameras capture faces, vehicles and entries with crisp detail — with a wide ~112° field of view ideal for the front and rear of a home or shopfront.
Smart IR Night Vision
EasyStar low-light processing and 120 dB true WDR balance bright and shaded scenes, while Smart IR LEDs deliver crisp black-and-white footage up to 30 m after dark.
AI Recorder — Find Events Fast
The NVR501-IQ adds AcuSearch and AcuTrack: filter footage by people or vehicles, and follow a target across cameras — find what you need in seconds instead of scrubbing for hours.
One-Cable PoE Install
Four built-in PoE ports power and connect each camera over a single Cat6 run — no separate switch or power supplies. 4K HDMI output, free EZCloud/UNV-Link remote viewing, and 2 spare channels to grow into.
Do the cameras record in colour at night?
These are IR turret cameras — at night they use Smart IR LEDs (up to 30 m) for crisp black-and-white night vision. EasyStar low-light processing still delivers detailed footage at dusk. For full-colour night vision, choose a ColorHunter kit.
Is this kit NDAA compliant?
Yes. Both the Uniview UNV IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-G cameras and the NVR501-04B-P4-IQ recorder are NDAA Section 889 compliant, making this kit suitable for government, education and security-sensitive sites in Australia.
Does a hard drive come included?
No — the NVR has one SATA bay but ships without storage. We recommend a surveillance-grade Seagate SkyHawk or WD Purple HDD. See the retention table above to size your drive to how long you want to keep footage.
How much recording time will I get?
It depends on your cameras and settings. With both 6MP cameras recording continuously, roughly 2 TB holds about 3 weeks; switching to motion/smart-event recording extends that significantly (full table above).
How are the cameras powered?
Each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable to one of the NVR's 4 built-in PoE ports — no separate power supplies or powerpoints at the camera.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. The NVR has 4 PoE ports and you're using 2, so you can add up to 2 more cameras by plugging them into the spare ports — no recorder upgrade needed.
What is AcuSearch and AcuTrack?
They're the recorder's -IQ AI review tools: AcuSearch filters footage by people and vehicles, and AcuTrack follows a target across cameras — so you find events in seconds instead of scrubbing.
Can I view it remotely?
Yes. Free P2P cloud access through the Uniview UNV app and EZCloud lets you watch live and recorded footage from your phone or computer anywhere.
