NDAA-Compliant 4-Channel AI PoE NVR
Uniview UNV NVR501-04B-P4-IQ 4-Channel 4K PoE NVR — Australian Stock & 3-Year Warranty
The Uniview UNV NVR501-04B-P4-IQ is a 4-channel, single-bay network video recorder with 4 built-in PoE ports, so you power and connect up to four IP cameras straight from the recorder — no separate switch required. It records up to 16MP resolution in Ultra 265 and holds one SATA drive up to 24TB for weeks of continuous footage. As an -IQ AI model, it adds Uniview UNV's AcuSearch and AcuTrack smart-review tools, so you can find a person or vehicle in seconds and follow them across cameras instead of scrubbing footage for hours. NDAA compliant and ideal for homes, retail and small business sites.
AI search that does the work for you
AcuSearch Smart Review
Filter recorded footage by people and vehicles to jump straight to the moments that matter — no more frame-by-frame scrubbing. Works across all channels with Uniview UNV SIP/UMD cameras.
AcuTrack Cross-Camera Tracking
Pick a person or vehicle and follow them across multiple cameras on one timeline, so you can reconstruct an event from end to end in a fraction of the time.
Smart by NVR
Run Face Detection, Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) and Ultra Motion Detection (UMD) directly on the recorder — even when paired with standard cameras.
Plate & Vehicle Recognition
Build up to 5 plate libraries totalling 25,000 vehicle pictures, with motor and non-motor vehicle search — handy for driveways, car parks and gated sites.
Plug-and-play PoE for simple installs
4 Built-in PoE Ports
Power and connect up to four IP cameras directly from the NVR (max 30W per port, 50W total, IEEE 802.3at/af) — no separate PoE switch to buy or configure.
Up to 24TB Storage
A single SATA bay takes a drive up to 24TB, giving you weeks of continuous recording from a compact 1U chassis.
4K HDMI + VGA Output
Drive a 4K display over HDMI and a second monitor over VGA simultaneously for a true dual-screen live view.
ANR Anti-Dropout
If the network drops, ANR keeps recording to the camera's onboard SD card and backfills the NVR once the link returns — no gaps in your footage.

How much footage can it hold?
Recording time depends on how many cameras you run, their resolution and frame rate, and whether you record continuously or on motion. The estimates below assume 4 cameras at 4MP, H.265, ~4 Mbps continuous — a typical real-world load. Smart/motion-only recording, lower resolution or fewer cameras will extend retention significantly. Maximum capacity is a single SATA drive up to 24TB.
Approximate Recording Retention (4 × 4MP, H.265)
| 4 TB |
~23 days continuous · ~52 days motion-based |
| 8 TB |
~46 days continuous · ~104 days motion-based |
| 12 TB |
~69 days continuous · ~155 days motion-based |
| 16 TB |
~92 days continuous · ~207 days motion-based |
| 24 TB (max) |
~138 days continuous · ~310 days motion-based |

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this NVR have built-in PoE ports?Yes. The NVR501-04B-P4-IQ has 4 built-in PoE ports, so you power and connect up to four IP cameras directly from the recorder — no separate PoE switch needed. Each port delivers up to 30W, with 50W available across all four.
How many cameras can it record?Up to 4 IP channels, with 80 Mbps of incoming bandwidth — plenty of headroom for high-megapixel cameras on a small site.
What's the maximum storage? The single SATA bay takes a drive up to 24TB, which is weeks of continuous recording from four cameras. Drives are sold separately.
What resolution can it record?Up to 16MP per channel in Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264, so it's ready for 4K and higher-resolution Uniview cameras.
What is AcuSearch and AcuTrack? They're Uniview UNV's AI review tools. AcuSearch filters footage by people and vehicles so you jump straight to the right moment, and AcuTrack follows a target across multiple cameras on one timeline.
Is it NDAA compliant?Yes. The NVR501-B-P-IQ series is NDAA compliant, making it suitable for government, education and enterprise projects with procurement requirements.
Does it work with third-party cameras?Yes, via ONVIF Profile S, G and T. Smart-by-NVR functions like Face Detection and SIP also run on a limited number of standard third-party channels.
Can I view it remotely?Yes. P2P cloud access through the Uniview UNV app and EZCloud lets you watch live and recorded footage from your phone or computer anywhere.
What's in the box and what warranty applies? The recorder ships with its power adapter and accessories (drives sold separately) and is backed by a 3-year Australian warranty with local CCTV Guru support.
