NDAA-Compliant 32-Channel AI PoE NVR
Uniview UNV NVR504-32B-P16-IQ 32-Channel 16-PoE AI NVR — Australian Stock & 3-Year Warranty
The Uniview UNV NVR504-32B-P16-IQ is a 32-channel, 4-bay Prime Series IQ network video recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports , so you can plug cameras straight in and power them off the recorder — no separate switch required. It records up to 16MP resolution in Ultra 265, holds four SATA drives up to 16TB each for around-the-clock retention, and supports RAID 1 and RAID 5 for redundant storage. As an IQ-series AI recorder , it runs Uniview UNV's intelligent VCA search and Smart-by-NVR analytics — Face Detection, Smart Intrusion Prevention, Vehicle & Plate recognition and Search by Image — so you can find a person, vehicle or event in seconds instead of scrubbing footage for hours.
Built-in PoE 16 Ports / 150W
AI search that does the work for you
Smart VCA Search
Filter recorded footage by people and vehicles with Motor Vehicle, Non-Motor Vehicle, Human Body and General search — no more frame-by-frame scrubbing through 32 channels of recording.
Search by Image
Upload a snapshot of a person or vehicle and the IQ analyser surfaces every matching appearance across your recorded timeline, ideal for fast incident review.
Smart by NVR
Run Face Detection, Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) and Ultra Motion Detection (UMD) directly on the recorder, even when paired with standard cameras.
Plate & Vehicle Recognition
Build up to 5 vehicle picture libraries totalling 25,000 plates, with metadata for vehicle type, colour and brand — ideal for car parks and gated sites.
Built for reliable, always-on recording
Up to 64TB Across 4 Bays
Four SATA bays each take up to 16TB, with RAID 1 and RAID 5 arrays plus disk-group management to protect weeks of critical footage.
RAID 1 & RAID 5 Redundancy
Hardware RAID 1 mirroring and RAID 5 parity keep recording running even if a drive fails, with array-damaged and array-degraded alerts built in.
ANR Anti-Dropout
If the network drops, ANR keeps recording to the camera's onboard SD card and backfills the NVR once the link returns — no gaps in your timeline.
4K HDMI + VGA Output
Drive a 4K display over HDMI and a second monitor over VGA with independent output for a true dual-screen control-room view.

How much footage can it hold?
Recording time depends on how many cameras you run, their resolution and frame rate, and whether you record continuously or on motion. The estimates below assume 32 cameras at 4MP, H.265, ~4 Mbps continuous — a typical real-world load for a fully populated recorder. Smart/motion-only recording, lower resolution or fewer cameras will extend retention significantly. Maximum capacity is four SATA drives at 16TB each (64TB).
Approximate Recording Retention (32 × 4MP, H.265)
8 TB
~6 days continuous · ~14 days motion-based
16 TB
~12 days continuous · ~28 days motion-based
32 TB
~24 days continuous · ~55 days motion-based
48 TB
~36 days continuous · ~80 days motion-based
4 × 16 TB (64 TB max)
~48 days continuous · ~108 days motion-based
Figures are estimates for guidance only and will vary with scene activity, bitrate and camera settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many PoE cameras can I plug in directly? The NVR504-32B-P16-IQ has 16 built-in PoE ports with a 150W total budget (max 30W per port), so you can power 16 cameras straight from the recorder. The remaining 16 of its 32 channels connect over your network via a PoE switch or self-powered cameras.
How many cameras can it record? Up to 32 IP channels at once, with 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth (Smart Off) — plenty of headroom for high-megapixel cameras across a large site.
What's the maximum storage? Four SATA bays each take up to 16TB, for around 64TB total. RAID 1 and RAID 5 are available if you want redundancy that keeps recording through a drive failure.
What resolution can it record? Up to 16MP per channel in Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264, so it's ready for high-resolution Uniview UNV cameras while keeping bitrates efficient.
What AI search tools does the IQ series offer? The IQ analyser adds VCA Search — filter by motor vehicle, non-motor vehicle, human body and general search — plus Search by Image, so you can find a person or vehicle in seconds instead of scrubbing footage.
Is it NDAA compliant? Yes. The NVR504-32B-P16-IQ is NDAA compliant, making it suitable for government, education and enterprise projects with procurement requirements.
Does it work with third-party cameras? Yes, via ONVIF Profile S, G and T, plus RTSP. Smart-by-NVR functions like Face Detection and SIP run on the recorder even with standard cameras.
Can I view it remotely? Yes. P2P cloud access through the Uniview UNV app and EZCloud lets you watch live and recorded footage from your phone or computer anywhere.
What's in the box and what warranty applies? The recorder ships with its power cord and accessories (drives sold separately) and is backed by a 3-year Australian warranty with local CCTV Guru support.
