WiFi 7 Performance
Built on the 802.11be (WiFi 7) standard with 4 spatial streams, the U7 Outdoor reaches up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for high-throughput, low-latency outdoor connectivity.
Integrated Super Antenna
A built-in directional super antenna (12.5 dBi on 5 GHz) plus two external omni antennas focuses signal where you need it, ideal for long-range and high-density outdoor coverage.
465 m² Coverage, 250+ Clients
Cover up to 465 m² (5,000 ft²) and support 250+ concurrent client devices, perfect for stadiums, campuses, car parks, and busy public venues.
2.5 GbE PoE+ Single Cable
A single 2.5 GbE PoE+ uplink (max 19 W) delivers both power and data, removing the WiFi 7 throughput bottleneck and simplifying installation.
All-Weather IPX6 Build
A UV-stabilised polycarbonate and aluminium-alloy enclosure sealed to IPX6 withstands rain and dust across a wide −30°C to 60°C range, with 200 km/h wind loading.
UniFi Network — No Subscription
Managed through the UniFi Network application with mesh, band steering, fast roaming, and captive portals — full local control with no monthly fees.
Versatile Mounting
Includes wall and pole mounts out of the box (pole diameter 25–60 mm), so you can position it for the best outdoor coverage angle.
NDAA Compliant
Fully NDAA Section 889 compliant for government, defence, and security-sensitive installations where supply-chain integrity is required.
UniFi U7 Outdoor Access Point
WiFi 7 outdoor AP (U7-Outdoor) with integrated directional super antenna.
External Omni Antennas
Two external omni antennas for extended omnidirectional coverage.
Mounting Hardware
Wall and pole mounting kit with screws and hardware included.
Not Included
A 2.5 GbE PoE+ switch or injector and network cable are required and sold separately.
Does the U7 Outdoor need a UniFi controller?
Yes. It is managed by the UniFi Network application running on a Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine, or Cloud Key — no monthly subscription required.
What PoE does it require?
It is powered by PoE+ over a 2.5 GbE port, drawing up to 19 W. A 2.5 GbE PoE+ switch or injector is recommended to avoid throttling WiFi 7 throughput.
Is it suitable for outdoor use in Australia?
Yes. IPX6 weatherproofing, a −30°C to 60°C range, and 200 km/h wind loading suit Australian outdoor environments including coastal and high-UV sites.
How much area does it cover?
Up to 465 m² (5,000 ft²) with support for 250+ concurrent client devices, depending on environment and placement.
Does it support WiFi 7 6 GHz?
The U7 Outdoor is a WiFi 7 dual-band AP operating on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with 4 spatial streams and a peak 5 GHz rate of 4.3 Gbps.
Is the U7 Outdoor NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the U7 Outdoor is NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
