What's the difference between this and the standard DS-2CD3386G2H-LISU/SL?

Is the camera safe to pressure-wash?
Yes — it is rated IP68 (continuous immersion) and IK10 (vandal-resistant). The polymer body and sealed enclosure are designed for routine industrial wash-down at typical pressures used in food-processing and dock-cleaning. Always keep the jet a sensible distance from the lens and gasket interfaces.
How does the on-board 64 GB storage work?
The default Australian SKU (-O-STD64G) ships with 64 GB of flash storage already installed inside the sealed body — there's no SD-card door to compromise the corrosion seal. The camera writes locally for ANR (auto-network-replenishment) when the link to the NVR drops; once reconnected, missed footage backfills to the NVR drive. For longer retention requirements, run the camera as part of an NVR.
Why is the maximum 4K frame rate only 20 fps?
Hikvision tuned the PA polymer model for continuous, low-thermal operation inside a fully sealed enclosure. The slightly lower frame rate keeps the sensor and SoC running cooler over the camera's lifetime — important because the polymer body, unlike metal, isn't a heat sink. 20 fps at 8MP is sufficient for almost all evidentiary surveillance roles; if you need full 25/30 fps at 4K, the standard 3386G2H is the answer.
Is this NDAA Section 889 compliant?
No. Hikvision is subject to NDAA Section 889 restrictions in the United States. Does it have ColorVu (24/7 full-colour) night vision?
The camera uses Smart Hybrid Light — it automatically switches between IR (silent monochrome) and white light (full colour) based on the scene and AcuSense triggers. With white light on, it delivers full-colour imagery to ~30 m. It is not marketed as a "24/7 always-on white-light ColorVu" model — the white light is intelligent rather than always-on, which is the right call for sites where residents or neighbouring properties shouldn't see constant white spill.
Will the polymer body fade in Australian sun?
The polymer is UV-stabilised for outdoor industrial use and operates through Hikvision's full −30 °C to +60 °C range. Over very long deployments (5+ years) some cosmetic surface chalking is normal on any polymer or painted housing, but the polymer's mechanical and corrosion properties are unaffected.
Does it run on standard PoE?
