2K 4MP Clarity
A 5 MP CMOS sensor captures 2K footage at 2688 × 1512 (16:9) and 30 FPS — far more detail than standard 1080p cameras for reviewing incidents with confidence.
Smart Detections
On-camera detection identifies people, vehicles, and animals, helping cut nuisance alerts so you can focus on what actually matters.
Wide 102.4° Field of View
Cover large rooms, entries, and building perimeters with minimal blind spots — the 102.4° horizontal FOV is ideal for open indoor areas and covered entry points.
9 m IR Night Vision
Built-in IR LEDs and an IR cut filter deliver clear black-and-white footage in total darkness up to 9 metres — no extra lighting required.
IK08 Vandal-Resistant + Two-Way Audio
A hard-coated dome and IK08 impact rating resist tampering, while a built-in mic and speaker enable two-way audio through the UniFi Protect app. IPX4 rated while covered.

Does the G5 Dome require a UniFi Protect subscription?
No. UniFi Protect runs locally on a UniFi NVR or Dream Machine. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required.
What do I need to run the G5 Dome?
A UniFi Protect host — such as a UNVR, Cloud Key Gen2 Plus, or a UniFi Dream Machine Pro/SE — plus an 802.3af PoE switch to power the camera.
Can the G5 Dome be used outdoors in Australia?
It carries an IPX4 rating while covered and an IK08 vandal-resistant housing, so it suits covered outdoor areas like eaves, carports, and sheltered entries rather than fully exposed positions.
Is it really 2K and not 4K?
Yes — the G5 Dome records 2K (4 MP) at 2688 × 1512, which is noticeably sharper than 1080p. For true 4K, look at the UniFi Protect G6 range.
Does it support two-way audio?
Yes. A built-in microphone and speaker let you listen and talk back through the UniFi Protect app.
Is the G5 Dome NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the G5 Dome is NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government and security-sensitive sites.
