IPC-PDW3859 vs Earlier IPC-PDW3849
This is a practical model comparison with the earlier Dahua IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV-ANZ. Both are 8MP-class, 180° TiOC Duo cameras with SMD 4.0, EPTZ, microSD storage to 512GB, IP67 metal housings and active sound/light deterrence.

Choosing between them: select the IPC-PDW3859 when the higher stitched resolution, longer IR/warm-light reach, Gigabit connection, PoE+ power budget, dual-speaker audio and updated analytics matter. The IPC-PDW3849 specification lists a wider 86° vertical field of view, so camera position and the required scene height should still be checked before choosing a model.
