Does the G4 Doorbell Pro require a subscription?
No. UniFi Protect runs locally on a UniFi NVR or Dream Machine. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required.
What do I need to run it?
A UniFi Protect host — such as a UNVR, Cloud Key Gen2 Plus, or a UniFi Dream Machine Pro/SE/Wall — plus a PoE switch to power the doorbell and chime.
What is the second camera for?
The secondary package-detection camera points down at the doorstep so parcels and deliveries stay in frame, even when they are below the main camera's view.
Is the PoE Chime included?
Yes. This kit includes the PoE Chime, which provides an in-home doorbell tone with an R/G/B/W status LED, speaker, and buzzer.
Is it suitable for outdoor use in Australia?
Yes, when mounted in a covered location. It carries an IPX4 rating and a −30°C to 40°C operating range suited to Australian conditions.
