Frequently asked questions
Is this a wireless siren? No. It is a wired external sounder and needs a compatible alarm panel, power and cabling.
Can it be installed outdoors?Yes. It has an IP55 rating. Have your installer select a suitable mounting position and seal cable entries correctly.
Does the fire tone make it a smoke alarm? No. A selectable warning tone does not make this product a smoke detector or a complete fire alarm system.
Build a compatible wired alarm system
The add-on options are system components, not items included with this siren. The HA-ALARM-P48 panel, compatible keypad and PIR detector form part of the wired alarm installation.
The HA-ALARM-POWER is a 15V panel supply, not a direct siren power adapter. Connect the siren only through the correctly specified alarm-system wiring and outputs. Have your installer verify the siren’s supply, trigger and current requirements before connection.
The listed 4-core security cable is an option for circuits where four conductors are sufficient. Separate sound, strobe and tamper connections may require additional cores; confirm the wiring diagram, cable distance and voltage drop.
