Electra Cables 4-Core Security & Alarm Cable — 14/0.20, 100m, White

Description

4-Core Security Cable · 14/0.20 Copper · 100m Roll

Practical wiring for your next security installation

The Electra Cables SEC14204-100W is a 100m roll of white 4-core security and alarm cable, with stranded copper conductors and an unscreened PVC sheath. It provides four individually insulated conductors for compatible low-voltage alarm, detection, access-control and control circuits.

The 100m length is a convenient choice for smaller installations, extensions and maintenance work. Check the device wiring requirements and calculate the required run length before ordering.

Choose the cable to suit the circuit

Four separate conductors

Connect compatible security devices using four colour-coded insulated cores. Follow the equipment wiring diagram for power, signal and any tamper connections; conductor assignments are determined by the device.

14/0.20 stranded copper

The 14-strand construction provides a larger copper cross-section than 7/0.20, helping reduce resistance along the cable run. Confirm terminal compatibility and circuit requirements before installation.

A complete 100m supply

Plan each run, allowing for routing, service loops and terminations. The roll length describes how much cable is supplied; it does not establish the maximum supported distance for a connected device.

White PVC sheath

A white outer jacket groups the conductors for organised routing. Select installation protection appropriate to the site. Where shielding or an environmental rating is required, choose a specifically rated alternative.

Before you order

Confirm the required number of cores, conductor size, screen requirement and total cable distance against your equipment documentation. Check voltage drop using the circuit current and the complete return path. Use this cable for compatible low-voltage security circuits; it is not a mains power lead. If your equipment needs twisted pairs, a screen or additional conductors, select a cable with those properties.

Frequently asked questions

What does 14/0.20 mean?

Each of the four conductors contains 14 fine copper strands, each 0.20 mm in diameter. It describes the conductor construction, rather than the overall cable diameter.

Can I use this instead of Cat6?

Use it only where your equipment specifies suitable multicore security cable. It is not Ethernet cable and is not a replacement for Cat6 on an RJ45 network or PoE camera connection.

Should I choose 7/0.20 or 14/0.20?

The 14/0.20 conductor has approximately twice the copper area of 7/0.20. This reduces resistance, but the right choice still depends on the equipment current, cable distance and permitted voltage drop. Follow the device installation instructions.

Is this shielded or suitable for burial?

This is standard unscreened PVC cable. Do not choose it for an installation requiring a screen, jelly filling, direct-burial approval or a stated UV rating. Use a cable specifically rated for those conditions.

Is the longer roll 300m or 305m?

This listing supplies 100 metres. The longer security-cable option in this range is 300m. Roll lengths should be checked on the selected product before ordering.

Is it sold by the metre?

The displayed price is for one complete 100m roll. Cut-to-length supply is not offered on this listing.

When will my order dispatch?

This cable is supplied to order from our Australian supplier. Contact CCTV Guru for current availability and dispatch timing, especially when ordering for a scheduled installation.
