This camera draws a maximum of 10 W on PoE — comfortable on any 802.3af switch, including the integrated PoE ports on Dahua's compact NVRs. The lens is fixed-focal, so frame the camera carefully at install time — there's no remote re-framing later. For outdoor installs in exposed positions (coastal, humid, or where the RJ-45 termination sits behind the camera in still air), we strongly recommend pairing with the DH-PFA130-E water-proof junction box to keep condensation off the connector.

How far can it see at night?
Smart Dual Light gives 30 m on IR and 30 m on warm light. DORI Identify range (where a face is recognisable) is 8.5 m at the 2.8 mm lens. For longer range, the motorised-zoom HFW3667T-ZAS-IL-ANZ variant pushes Identify out to 28 m at its tele setting.
Can I run this camera on standard PoE?
Yes — it is 802.3af-compliant and pulls a maximum of only 10 W. Any quality 802.3af switch with budget headroom will run it comfortably.
Does it have a microphone?
Yes, the camera has a built-in microphone, plus 1 × RCA audio in and 1 × RCA audio out for connecting an external mic or speaker. NDIS, retail and public-space sites should check local audio-recording legislation before enabling sound recording.
Does it work with third-party NVRs?
Yes — it supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it will record to any ONVIF-compatible third-party NVR. Note that AcuPick attribute search and SMD 4.0 alarm push only work end-to-end on a genuine Dahua AI NVR.
