5 Gbps IDS/IPS Routing
Enterprise-grade threat management at 5 Gbps — double the IDS/IPS throughput of the UDM-Pro and UDM-SE — handling the full bandwidth demands of large multi-gig deployments without security compromises.
200+ UniFi Devices & 2,000+ Clients
With 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, the UDM-Pro-Max supports 2× the device and client capacity of the UDM-Pro and UDM-SE — ideal for large campuses, enterprise sites, and multi-building deployments.
Dual 3.5″ HDD Bays with RAID
Two 3.5″ HDD bays with RAID data protection provide redundant local NVR storage for UniFi Protect — protecting your camera recordings against single drive failure without manual RAID configuration.
128GB SSD for AI Detection Recordings
The built-in 128GB SSD stores AI detection thumbnails and event clips separately from continuous recordings — enabling fast retrieval of person, vehicle, and licence plate detection events.
10G SFP+ LAN + 10G SFP+ WAN
Dual 10G SFP+ ports — one for high-speed LAN uplink to a core switch, one for 10G WAN — alongside a 2.5 GbE RJ45 WAN port for flexible ISP connectivity.
8 × Gigabit LAN Ports
Eight Gigabit RJ45 LAN ports for direct device connections alongside the 10G SFP+ uplink — providing flexible connectivity for switches, APs, and servers.
1.3″ Touchscreen Display
Monitor system status, network health, storage health, and HDD activity directly on the unit via the built-in touchscreen — no PC or app required for on-site diagnostics.
Power Redundancy — USP-RPS Compatible
Connect the optional Ubiquiti USP-RPS Power Backup for enhanced power redundancy — keeping your network and cameras running during power events or PSU failure.
✅ Choose UDM-Pro-Max if you need…
Maximum capacity — 200+ UniFi devices, 2,000+ clients, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS, dual HDD RAID NVR, and 8GB RAM. Best for large enterprise, campus, and multi-building deployments.
✅ Choose UDM-SE if you need…
Built-in 8× PoE ports (180W) to power cameras and APs directly, with a single HDD bay and 128GB SSD. Best for mid-size deployments where PoE switching is needed at the gateway.
✅ Choose UDM-Pro if you need…
A cost-effective all-in-one gateway and controller for smaller deployments without the need for dual HDD RAID or maximum client capacity.
✅ Choose UXG-Max/Lite if you need…
A gateway-only device (no built-in controller or NVR) for deployments where a separate Cloud Key+ or UniFi OS Console already exists.
🏫 Large Enterprise & Campus
Universities, hospitals, large corporate campuses, and enterprise sites with 200+ UniFi devices and thousands of clients requiring maximum gateway performance.
🏢 Multi-Building Commercial
Multi-building commercial sites, strata complexes, and large office towers where high-capacity routing, RAID NVR storage, and 10G uplinks are essential.
📹 Large UniFi Protect Deployments
Sites with large camera counts requiring redundant RAID NVR storage — the dual HDD bays protect recordings against drive failure without a separate UNVR.
🔄 UDM-Pro / UDM-SE Upgrade
The natural upgrade path for deployments that have outgrown the UDM-Pro or UDM-SE — double the device capacity, 5 Gbps IPS, and RAID NVR storage.
📦 UDM-Pro-Max Unit
All-in-one UniFi OS Console with pre-installed UniFi Network and UniFi Protect, dual HDD bays, and 128GB SSD.
🔧 Rack Mount Hardware
Rack-mount brackets, screws, and power cord included.
📖 Quick-Start Guide
Installation guide and documentation included.
⚠️ Not Included
3.5″ HDDs for NVR storage and USP-RPS power backup are sold separately.
Does the UDM-Pro-Max require a subscription?
No. UniFi Network and UniFi Protect run fully locally. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required for full functionality.
What RAID modes are supported?
The dual HDD bays support RAID data protection for redundant NVR storage. Check the Ubiquiti documentation for supported RAID configurations with your specific drive combination.
What is the difference between the UDM-Pro-Max and UDM-Pro?
The UDM-Pro-Max has 8GB RAM (vs 4GB), a 2.0 GHz processor (vs 1.7 GHz), 5 Gbps IDS/IPS (vs 3.5 Gbps), dual HDD RAID bays (vs single HDD), and supports 200+ devices (vs 100+). It is the enterprise-tier upgrade for large deployments.
Does it have built-in PoE ports?
No. The UDM-Pro-Max has no built-in PoE. For PoE camera and AP connections, pair it with a UniFi PoE switch. If you need built-in PoE, consider the UDM-SE instead.
Does it support dual-WAN failover?
Yes. The UDM-Pro-Max supports redundant WAN with failover and load balancing across the 2.5 GbE RJ45 WAN and 10G SFP+ WAN ports, plus LTE backup support.
Can I view cameras remotely?
Yes. The UniFi Protect app supports remote viewing via the UniFi cloud relay — no port forwarding required. Remote access is free with a UniFi account.
