Does this camera have active deterrence (strobe / siren)?
No. The 3867T-ZAS-IL is a silent Smart Dual Light surveillance camera — no red/blue strobe, no built-in siren, no voice broadcast. If you need active deterrence, look at the Dahua TiOC line-up (HFW3849T1-ZAS-PV-ANZ-S2 is the closest equivalent in the same form factor).
How is Smart Dual Light different from full-colour cameras?
Full-colour cameras run the warm-light LED constantly at night — clearly visible from outside, with light spill that can disturb neighbours. Smart Dual Light defaults to invisible IR for normal monitoring; the warm-light LED only fires when SMD 4.0 detects a real human or vehicle, then auto-switches back to IR. Less light pollution, less wear on the LED, full-colour evidence only when it matters.

Can the camera pan and tilt remotely?
No. The 3867T-ZAS-IL is a motorised vari-focal bullet, not a PTZ. The lens supports remote zoom and auto-focus, but the camera body itself does not pan or tilt remotely — the housing is aimed manually at install time. For a fully remote pan/tilt/zoom camera, look at a Dahua PTZ.
What does the camera see at night?
By default it uses 60 m IR illumination for invisible monitoring. When SMD 4.0 detects a person or vehicle, the warm-light LED switches on (also 60 m) and the camera captures full-colour 4K — clothing colour, vehicle paint, facial detail. Once the target leaves, it switches back to IR.
Does it have a built-in microphone?
