The HDW2549EMP is a fixed-focal turret — frame the camera carefully at install time, as there's no remote re-framing later. The eyeball gimbal allows ±75° pan, ±75° tilt and 0–360° rotation at the mount, so initial alignment is flexible. For outdoor installs in exposed coastal or humid positions, pair with the DH-PFA137 in-ceiling junction box to keep condensation off the RJ-45 termination. Does the camera support AcuPick attribute search?
No. AcuPick is reserved for the higher-tier WizSense 3 Smart Dual Light cameras (e.g. HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ). This 2-series HDW2549 supports SMD Plus / SMD 3.0 with human and vehicle classification, but does not support attribute-based recorded-video search.
Does it have IR or just warm light?
Warm light only — 30 m built-in warm-light array for full-colour night vision. There is no separate IR illuminator. The F1.0 large aperture means the camera captures usable colour at very low light levels before the warm light needs to come on.
Can I run this camera on standard PoE?
Yes — it is 802.3af-compliant. Any quality 802.3af switch with budget headroom will run it comfortably — no need for the more expensive 802.3at PoE+.
How far can it see at night?
The 30 m warm-light array delivers usable full-colour video at the lit zone. With WizColor F1.0 low-light, the camera can also capture usable colour beyond the warm-light range in moonlight and ambient street-light conditions.
Does it have a microphone?
Yes — the "EM" in the SKU indicates built-in microphone. NDIS, retail and public-space sites should check local audio-recording legislation before enabling sound recording.
Does it work with third-party NVRs?
Yes — ONVIF Profile S, G and T are supported, so it will record to any ONVIF-compatible third-party NVR. Note that SMD Plus alarm push and WizSense 2 AI events only work end-to-end on a genuine Dahua AI NVR.
What temperature range is it rated for?
