Power 8 × PoE ports built into the NVR — one Cat6 cable per camera carries power and data, so there are no separate power supplies. Network cabling is run on site and is not included; pre-made Cat6 patch leads are available separately.
Storage 1 SATA bay (HDD up to 10 TB) — not included. Add a surveillance-grade Seagate SkyHawk or WD Purple drive; ~2 TB suits six 5MP cameras for around 2–3 weeks on motion-only recording.

What is WizSense SMD+?
Smart Motion Detection Plus is Dahua's deep-learning AI that classifies motion as human or vehicle, filtering out animals, foliage and weather — so you only get alerted on what matters.
Does a hard drive come included?
No — the NVR has one SATA bay (up to 10 TB) but ships without storage. For 6 × 5MP on motion-only, ~2 TB gives roughly 2–3 weeks; choose 4 TB+ for continuous recording.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. The NVR has 8 PoE ports and you're using 6, so you can add up to 2 more cameras into the spare ports — no recorder upgrade needed.
Is remote viewing included?
Yes — the free DMSS app (iOS/Android) gives live view, playback and push alerts from anywhere via P2P. No static IP or port forwarding required.
Are the cameras suitable for outdoors?
Yes — all cameras are IP67 rated for outdoor installation in all Australian conditions, including coastal salt air and tropical rain.
Is this kit NDAA compliant?
