Smart Motion Detection Plus is Dahua's deep-learning AI that classifies motion as human or vehicle, filtering out animals, foliage and weather — so you only get alerted on what matters.
Does a hard drive come included?
No — the NVR has one SATA bay (up to 10 TB) but ships without storage. For 4 × 5MP on motion-only, ~2 TB gives roughly 3 weeks; choose 4 TB+ for continuous recording.
Do I need a separate PoE switch?
No — the NVR has 4 built-in PoE ports. Each camera connects directly with a single Cat6 cable carrying power and video.
Can I add more cameras later?
This kit uses all 4 channels. To expand, step up to an 8-channel NVR — ask our team about an upgrade path.
Is remote viewing included?
Yes — the free DMSS app (iOS/Android) gives live view, playback and push alerts from anywhere via P2P. No static IP or port forwarding required.

      Great cameras for home.

      Package arrived next day which is amazing as we live in a rural area. Installed the cameras, everything worked as expected. Dahua NVR is jam packed with features with P2P configurations makes it flexible.
