Does it really see in colour at night?
Yes. A warm white LED illuminates the scene up to 30m so the camera produces full-colour footage in darkness, instead of the black-and-white image you get from IR-only cameras.
What is SMD Plus?
Smart Motion Detection Plus is Dahua's WizSense AI that detects and tags humans and vehicles, ignoring nuisance motion so you get fewer false alerts and faster searching.
Can the warm LED be turned off?
Yes. The illumination mode is configurable — you can run full-colour with the LED, switch to a smart hybrid mode, or disable it where ambient light is sufficient.
How is it powered?
A single Cat6 cable provides PoE (802.3af) power and data, or you can use a 12V DC supply.
