Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2-ASTE 2×4MP 180° Panoramic WizMind Bullet Camera

Description

Dahua WizMind · 2 × 4MP · 180° Panoramic · PoE+

See a Wide Scene with One Dual-Sensor Panoramic Camera

The DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2-ASTE is a full-colour panoramic bullet camera that combines two 4MP sensors into one wide 4096 × 1800 image. Its approximately 180° horizontal field of view is useful for broad shopfronts, forecourts, car parks and open areas where a conventional camera may leave important activity outside the frame.

Available to order from supplier stock. Dispatch timing is confirmed after ordering. Supplier availability can change; contact CCTV Guru before ordering if you have a fixed installation date.

Important system requirements: this is a fixed panoramic camera, not a motorised PTZ. It uses visible warm-light LEDs rather than infrared illumination. Power it from a suitable 802.3at PoE+ source, compatible ePoE equipment or an adequately rated 12 V DC supply.

Key Features

180° panoramic context

Two 1/1.8-inch sensors and 3.6 mm F1.0 lenses produce a stitched panoramic view. Monitor movement across a wide frontage without panning away from the rest of the scene.

Colour detail with warm illumination

Four warm LEDs provide illumination up to 40 m. The large-aperture lenses support low-light colour imaging, while the actual result depends on scene lighting, mounting and exposure.

WizMind analytics

Configure human/vehicle perimeter rules, people counting, queue management or heat maps to suit the application. Analytics require careful placement, calibration and compatible management software.

Balanced highlights and shadows

140 dB WDR helps with difficult contrast. At full resolution, choose up to 25 fps with WDR off or 20 fps with WDR on, according to your scene priorities.

Audio and alarm integration

The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio. Separate audio and alarm inputs/outputs provide options for a professionally designed security installation.

Local and network recording

Record with a compatible network system or optional microSD card up to 512 GB. H.265 and smart coding options help manage storage and network requirements.

Choosing a Panoramic Camera

This model prioritises coverage and scene context. Its 4096 × 1800 output is a wide panoramic format rather than standard 3840 × 2160 video. Check that your recorder can accept, display and record this format, and that it supports the analytics you intend to use. A close-up identification point may still need a separate camera; a wide field of view does not guarantee readable faces or number plates everywhere in the image.

Installation and Recommended Add-ons

  1. Plan a mounting location with a clear, unobstructed view across the full scene. Avoid placing nearby walls or bright lights in the field of view.
  2. Check the PoE+ port and total power budget. The maximum PoE draw listed by Dahua is 13.8 W; use the specified 802.3at power standard.
  3. Connect an appropriate 8ware Cat6 patch lead; protect the outdoor cable route and all connectors. Confirm the cable type and distance for the installation.
  4. Initialise the camera, set a strong password and correct time, and configure the stream format on the recorder.
  5. Configure and test analytics, night lighting and audio on site. Fit an optional WD Purple SC QD101 surveillance microSD card if local recording is required.

Dahua lists DH-PFA5300R for an optional junction-box installation and DH-PFA157 for compatible pole mounting. Select the arrangement shown in the installation drawings; mounting accessories, memory card and cabling are sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a PTZ camera?

No. It is a fixed-lens panoramic bullet camera. Its manually adjustable mounting bracket is not a motorised pan/tilt mechanism.

Is the image standard 3840 × 2160 4K?

No. Two 4MP sensors are stitched into a wide 4096 × 1800 panoramic image. Dahua markets this as an 8MP-class output, with a different aspect ratio from conventional 16:9 4K.

Does it have infrared night vision?

The listed built-in illuminators are four warm LEDs, rated up to 40 m. This model uses visible warm light for colour scenes; it is not an IR-illuminated camera.

What PoE power does it need?

Use an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ source with adequate per-port and total power budget. Dahua also lists compatible ePoE or 12 V DC input. Do not assume an 802.3af-only recorder port is suitable.

Can I record to a memory card?

Yes. The camera supports microSD storage up to 512 GB. The optional WD Purple SC QD101 128 GB and 256 GB cards are within this limit; recording time depends on bitrate, scene activity and recording schedule.

Will it record at 25 fps with WDR enabled?

At full 4096 × 1800 resolution, the datasheet specifies up to 25 fps with WDR off and up to 20 fps with WDR on. Confirm the balance between frame rate and highlight/shadow detail during setup.
