Does the G5 Bullet require a UniFi Protect subscription?
No. UniFi Protect runs locally on a UniFi NVR or Dream Machine. There are no monthly fees or cloud subscriptions required.
What do I need to run the G5 Bullet?
A UniFi Protect host — such as a UNVR, Cloud Key Gen2 Plus, or a UniFi Dream Machine Pro/SE — plus a PoE switch or injector to power the camera.
Can it be used outdoors in Australia?
It is rated IP55 for indoor and partial-outdoor use — ideal for sheltered locations such as under eaves, covered car parks, and protected walls. For fully exposed positions, choose a fully weatherproof model.
Does it record audio?
