Clean 12V / 5A Output
Supplies a stable 12V DC at 5A to the UniFi Retrofit Hub, with up to 80W max power draw and 85% efficiency for reliable, everyday door-access power.
SLA Battery Backup Ready
A dedicated DC in/out port charges an optional 12V SLA battery at 0.5A, so entry doors and readers keep working during a power failure. Battery sold separately.
Simple 3-Wire Install
One AC input, one DC output to the Retrofit Hub, and one DC in/out for the battery — plus three status LEDs for at-a-glance health and quick troubleshooting.
NDAA Compliant & Locally Backed
Genuine Ubiquiti hardware, NDAA Section 889 compliant and CE/FCC/IC certified — ready for government, defence and security-sensitive sites, with expert AU support.
What does the UniFi Retrofit PSU 12V do?
It is a dedicated 12V DC power supply for the UniFi Retrofit Hub. It powers the hub from mains AC and can charge and switch to an optional 12V SLA battery so your door access keeps running during a power outage.
Which devices is it compatible with?
It is designed to power the UniFi Retrofit Hub, the module that brings existing (third-party) access-control door hardware into UniFi Access.
Does it support battery backup?
Yes. A dedicated DC input/output port charges a 12V SLA battery at 0.5A and provides seamless backup power if mains AC is lost.
Is the backup battery included?
No — the 12V SLA battery is sold separately, so you can size runtime to your site. Choose a battery capacity (Ah) to suit how long you need doors to stay powered during an outage.
What is the output rating?
12V DC at 5A, with a maximum power consumption of 80W and 85% efficiency.
What input voltage does it accept?
Universal 100–240V AC at 50/60 Hz, so it works on Australian mains without a separate adapter.
How do I know it is working?
Three status LEDs indicate AC input, DC output and battery status for quick, at-a-glance confirmation and troubleshooting during install.
Is it NDAA compliant?
Yes. The UACC-Retrofit-PSU-12V is NDAA Section 889 compliant and CE/FCC/IC certified, suitable for government, defence and security-sensitive installations.
