450+ Mbps airMAX AC Throughput
Powered by Ubiquiti’s airMAX® AC (802.11ac) technology with the proprietary airMAX TDMA protocol, the NanoBeam AC Gen2 delivers 450+ Mbps of real TCP/IP throughput for fast, reliable links.
High-Gain 19 dBi Directional Antenna
The integrated 19 dBi directional antenna focuses signal precisely on the far end of the link, supporting clean, stable connections over distances of up to 15 km in clear line-of-sight.
PtP & PtMP Flexibility
Use it as a dedicated point-to-point backhaul or as a client (station) in a point-to-multipoint airMAX network — perfect for WISP deployments and multi-site connectivity.
Built for the Outdoors
A rugged, weather-resistant enclosure and a wide −40°C to 70°C operating range keep the link running through tough Australian conditions year-round.
Single-Cable PoE Power
Powered over a single Ethernet cable via the included 24V passive PoE adapter — no separate power run and no electrician required at the pole.
NDAA Compliant
Manufactured by US-based Ubiquiti and NDAA Section 889 compliant — suitable for government, defence, and security-sensitive networks.
NanoBeam AC Gen2 Radio
NBE-5AC-Gen2 with integrated 19 dBi 5 GHz antenna.
24V PoE Adapter
Passive PoE power adapter included — powers and connects the radio over one cable.
Pole Mount Bracket
Mounting hardware for fast pole installation included.
Not Included
Outdoor Ethernet cable is required and sold separately. A second NanoBeam is needed for a complete PtP link.
Do I need one NanoBeam or two?
For a point-to-point link you need two units — one at each end. A single NanoBeam can also be used as a client/station connecting to an existing airMAX BaseStation in a point-to-multipoint network.
Is a PoE adapter included?
Yes. Each NanoBeam AC Gen2 ships with a 24V passive PoE adapter and a pole-mount bracket.
What range can I expect?
Up to 15 km in clear line-of-sight. Real-world range depends on terrain, obstructions, antenna alignment, and interference.
Is it suitable for outdoor use in Australia?
Yes. The weather-resistant enclosure and −40°C to 70°C operating range suit Australian outdoor and rural conditions.
Is the NanoBeam AC Gen2 NDAA compliant?
Yes. Ubiquiti is a US-based manufacturer and the NBE-5AC-Gen2 is NDAA Section 889 compliant for government and security-sensitive sites.
