Description
TP-Link TL-SF1024D — 24-Port 10/100Mbps Unmanaged Switch
The TP-Link TL-SF1024D is a reliable, plug-and-play 24-port Fast Ethernet switch designed for small-to-medium business networks, security installations, and structured cabling environments. With zero configuration required and energy-saving technology built in, it's a cost-effective way to expand your network capacity without the complexity.
Product Description
Built around a non-blocking switching architecture, the TL-SF1024D delivers full wire-speed forwarding across all 24 ports simultaneously — no bottlenecks, no dropped packets. The standard 13-inch steel chassis fits neatly into a rack or sits flat on a desktop, making it equally at home in a comms cabinet or on a workbench. IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and backpressure (half duplex) keep traffic moving smoothly even under load.
TP-Link's Green Technology automatically scales power consumption based on link status and cable length, cutting energy use by up to 75% compared to conventional switches. The unit is RoHS compliant, and 80% of its packaging is recyclable — a practical choice for environmentally conscious installations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the TL-SF1024D require any configuration?
No. It's a fully unmanaged switch — simply plug in your cables and it works immediately. There is no web interface, CLI, or software to install.
Can it be rack-mounted?
Yes. The 13-inch steel chassis is compatible with standard 19-inch racks using an optional rack-mount kit. It can also sit flat on a desktop or shelf.
Is it suitable for IP camera (CCTV) networks?
Yes. The TL-SF1024D is well-suited to dedicated IP camera networks where you need to connect multiple cameras to an NVR or recorder. Note: it does not support PoE — a separate PoE switch or injectors are required to power cameras directly.
Does it support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
No. The TL-SF1024D is a non-PoE switch. If you need to power IP cameras or access control devices over the cable, consider a TP-Link PoE switch instead.
What is the maximum cable length supported?
Up to 100 metres per port using standard Cat5e or Cat6 UTP cabling, in line with IEEE 802.3u specifications.
Is this switch managed or unmanaged?
Unmanaged. It does not support VLANs, QoS, SNMP, or remote management. For managed features, consider the TP-Link TL-SG1024DE or similar smart-managed models.
