LOX · MONITORED DOUBLE-DOOR LOCKING
A monitored magnetic lock for double-door access control
The LOX EM5700DM combines two electromagnetic locking positions in one surface-mounted assembly. It is the monitored member of the EM5700D family, intended for double-door installations where the access-control system needs feedback about both the magnetic bond and door position.
Understand the monitoring
Lock-status feedback
The Hall Effect Lock Status Sensor reports the magnetic locking condition. Wire its outputs into a suitable controller and configure the inputs to match the installation.
Door-position feedback
A separate reed-switch Door Status Sensor reports door position. Door closed and magnetic bond established are different conditions; monitoring both gives the controller more useful information.
Visible status indication
The red/green LED panel provides local status indication. Correct alignment and wiring remain essential for reliable operation.
Monitored fixing arrangement
The monitored version includes an anti-tamper fixing plate arrangement around the armature fixing. Select accessories for EM5700DM specifically.
Plan the power and mounting
The double assembly draws a total of 1A at 12V DC or 520mA at 24V DC according to the installation manual. Use a filtered, regulated supply, set the voltage shunts correctly before applying power and include the controller, other locks and cable losses in the power calculation.
Check the frame, opening direction, clearances and armature alignment against LOX’s drawings. The armature must retain the movement needed to align with the magnet face. Installation, release controls and any fire-door application must be assessed for the complete door assembly by the installer.

Choose the correct accessories
For inward-opening doors, LOX identifies the AMZB1D-LP-DSS bracket for this monitored double lock. Monitored glass-door applications use the appropriate AMGB1-12-DSS or AMAB1-DSS holders. Mounting-plate and adjustable-bracket requirements depend on the frame profile. Ask us to confirm the parts for your door before ordering.
A regulated DC supply, compatible access controller, exit/release devices, cables and installation are additional system components. They are not included in this lock-only price. Request a complete access-control quote.

Frequently asked questions
How is EM5700DM different from EM5700D?
EM5700DM is the monitored double-door version. It provides Hall Effect lock-status sensing, reed-switch door-status sensing, LED indication and the monitored version’s anti-tamper fixing arrangement. EM5700D is the non-monitored model.
Does it stay locked during a power failure?
An electromagnetic lock needs power to maintain its magnetic bond and releases when that supply is removed. The installer must design the power, emergency release and access-control arrangement for the door and building requirements.
Which power supply is required?
Use filtered, regulated DC with the lock correctly configured for 12V or 24V. For the double lock, the manual specifies 2 × 500mA at 12V or 2 × 260mA at 24V. Allow for all other connected loads and cable voltage drop.
Are mounting brackets included?
This listing is for the monitored double electromagnetic lock assembly. Optional L and Z brackets, glass-door holders, power supply, controller and installation are separate. Confirm the required mounting parts before ordering.
Can I use the EM5700D’s glass-door accessories?
Do not substitute by appearance. LOX lists AMGB1-12-DSS and AMAB1-DSS for the monitored EM5700DM, and AMZB1D-LP-DSS for an inward-opening-door bracket arrangement. Parts for the non-monitored version can differ.
What warranty applies?
The Australian Dicker Data supply record lists a 25-year warranty for this SKU. Retain the invoice and contact CCTV Guru for the applicable manufacturer and supplier terms; this does not include a promise of free installation or on-site labour.
