The Hikvision iDS-9632NXI-P8 is Hikvision's flagship DeepinMind Pro AI NVR in its 8-PoE configuration — the same enterprise-class AI brain as the larger P16, but tuned for sites that already have managed PoE switching for most of their cameras and just need a handful (up to 8) powered directly from the recorder. What's the difference between the P8 and the P16?
Same DeepinMind Pro AI brain, same 32-channel capacity, same 128 TB storage. The P16 has 16 PoE ports; the P8 has 8. Choose the P8 if your site already has a managed PoE switch backbone and you only need a handful of cameras powered directly from the recorder.
What's the difference between DeepinMind Pro and the regular DeepinMind M Series?
The Pro tier uses a GPU-accelerated AI engine that's an order of magnitude more powerful — modelling 600,000 targets per day vs the M Series' typical 100,000–200,000. It also adds AcuSeek (text-based search), which is normally exclusive to the VPro line.
Do I need special cameras for AcuSeek and face recognition?
No. The NVR processes video from any compatible Hikvision or ONVIF IP camera. Pair with cameras from our Hikvision AcuSeek Cameras collection for the sharpest face crops and best recognition accuracy.
Are there subscription fees?
No. All AI processing — AcuSeek, AcuSearch, facial recognition, ANPR, perimeter — runs on-board the NVR. No recurring cloud fees, no per-user licensing, ever.
