How is DeepinView different from AcuSense?
AcuSense (on Pro Series and Value Series cameras) is the filtering AI — it classifies motion as human, vehicle or other and triggers only on the targets that matter. DeepinView is the recognition AI — adding face capture, face comparison against a watchlist, ShotN high-speed motion, HEOP open-platform third-party apps, and ANPR (on the dedicated ANPR-suffix variants). DeepinView includes AcuSense's filtering capabilities, plus much more.
Why the IZS and not the IZHSY or /1T?
The IZS gives you the full DeepinView G2 imaging chain and AI feature set without paying for niche add-ons. -H (heater) is only needed for alpine / sub-zero installs (rare in Australia). -Y (NEMA 4X anti-corrosion) is for coastal sites within ~2 km of the shoreline. /1T (built-in 1 TB SSD) is for sites needing guaranteed on-camera local recording independent of the network. If you need any of those, we can special-order — talk to our team.
Can I install this within 2 km of the coast?
Our stocked IZS variant does not have the NEMA 4X anti-corrosion housing. For genuinely coastal Australian installs (Sydney Harbour, Wollongong, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Perth waterfront, etc.), special-order the IZHSY variant which adds anti-corrosion. Or mount the IZS under deep cover (eave, carport, sheltered porch) so it doesn't see direct salt spray. Contact our team for guidance.
Does it support face recognition out of the box?
Yes — 120 simultaneous faces detected, 40 captures per frame, 10 best uploads per second, comparison against 10 libraries of 30,000 faces each (150,000 total) with encrypted on-camera storage. The face DB is configured directly on the camera via iVMS-4200 or HikCentral Pro — no separate face server required.
What is HEOP and do I need it?
HEOP — Hikvision Embedded Open Platform — lets Hikvision technology partners deploy custom AI applications directly on the camera. Most buyers don't deploy a HEOP app, but the platform availability matters if you're planning queue analytics, dwell-time measurement, custom retail conversion tracking, or industrial safety monitoring with a vendor's specific app. Useful future-proofing.
What power supply do I need?
Three options: PoE 802.3at Class 4 (15.2 W) from any Hikvision NVR PoE port, 12 VDC (15.3 W) from a dedicated power supply, or 24 VAC (13.7 W) from existing AC infrastructure. PoE+ is the cleanest install — single Cat 6 cable into the NVR.
How does ShotN motion capture work?
ShotN is Hikvision's high-frame-rate motion technology — it captures fast-moving vehicles, people, mining trucks, sport, etc. clearly in single frames at 4 MP @ 60 fps or 2 MP @ 120 fps, without the motion blur that 30 fps cameras leave. Useful for vehicle gate identification, courier delivery records, dock truck movements, and any site where targets routinely move faster than walking pace.
Will it work with my existing Hikvision NVR?
Yes — ONVIF Profile S / G / T plus Hikvision ISAPI means it streams to any modern Hikvision NVR. However, to surface face capture, face comparison and AI metadata in NVR search, you'll want an AcuSeek (VPro) or DeepinMind NVR. Standard M-Series NVRs record the stream but don't index the DeepinView AI metadata.
Is this NDAA Section 889 compliant?
No. Hikvision is not NDAA Section 889 compliant. For NDAA-required projects (typically US federally-funded), we stock alternative brands — contact our team.
