1 × Hikvision Waterproof Sealing Tape (AF003-100)
Self-amalgamating sealing tape — wraps cable joins, antenna connections and bracket penetrations to maintain the camera's IP66 weatherproof rating after install. Australian outdoor conditions (sun, rain, dust) demand it — skip this step and the warranty can be voided.

Do I need a SIM card or mobile plan?
No — this is the WiFi variant. The camera connects to your existing WiFi network (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) and uses Hik-Connect for remote viewing. No SIM, no cellular plan, no monthly fees. If you need a 4G/LTE version for sites without WiFi, ask us about the DS-2XS3Q47G1-LDH/4G variant.
How far from my WiFi router can the camera be?
Typical line-of-sight range is 30–40 m. For longer distances or obstacles in between, add a higher-gain external WiFi antenna using the included SMA adapter — extends range to 50–80 m+ depending on environment.
Will the solar panel keep up year-round in Australia?
Yes — the 40 W panel paired with 180 Wh of battery generates a daily energy surplus across most of mainland Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and most regional areas). Tasmania and far-southern sites in deep winter may need to switch from Performance to Proactive mode to extend run time.
Why is the waterproof tape included?
To maintain IP66 weatherproofing at the cable join and antenna connection after install. Without proper sealing, water ingress at those joints can void the warranty. The AF003-100 is Hikvision-branded self-amalgamating tape — peel, stretch, wrap.
Does it record locally or to the cloud?
Local microSD recording (up to 256 GB) — no cloud subscription. You can also stream live and play back via Hik-Connect on your phone. Card sold separately.
