Hikvision PT Series · Industrial Thermography PTZ
Thermographic Temperature Monitoring, Fire Detection & 32x Optical Identification
The Hikvision DS-2TD4228T-10/S2 is an advanced thermographic thermal and optical bi-spectrum network speed dome camera engineered for industrial heat monitoring, early fire detection, and high-security perimeter surveillance. Combining a 256 × 192 VOx uncooled thermal sensor with a high-resolution 4 MP optical camera featuring 32x optical zoom (4.8–153 mm), this speed dome delivers dual-spectrum vision across continuous 360° pan and tilt movements. Unlike standard security thermal cameras, the thermographic "T" series measures precise target temperatures up to 550°C, making it an essential asset for electrical substations, manufacturing facilities, power stations, and fire-prone infrastructure.

Dynamic Fire Detection & Smart Bi-Spectrum Target Tracking
The Hikvision DS-2TD4228T-10/S2 incorporates intelligent fire and smoke detection algorithms that monitor thermal emissions in real time, detecting up to 10 fire points before visual flames appear. Built-in Smart Tracking linkages seamlessly tie the thermal and optical channels together, allowing panoramic, event, or multi-scene patrol tracking to auto-follow moving targets or abnormal heat signatures. With Picture-in-Picture overlay, 120 dB WDR, and 100-metre Smart IR illumination, security operators gain total visual clarity in pitch-black conditions, heavy fog, or dense smoke.
High-Accuracy Thermography (-20°C to 550°C)
Precision temperature exception monitoring with up to 21 rules per scene (points, areas, lines) alerts control rooms immediately to overheating transformers, switchgear, or machinery.
360° Endless Pan & Smart Tracking
Supports continuous 360° pan rotation, -5° to +90° tilt with auto-flip, and automated tracking routines across 300 configurable presets and 8 patrol scans.

What distinguishes the "T" series from standard security thermal cameras?
The "T" designation stands for Thermography. While standard security thermal models measure up to 150°C for general perimeter security, the DS-2TD4228T-10/S2 measures up to 550°C with high accuracy (±2°C) for specialized industrial monitoring.
How does Smart Tracking linkage work on this bi-spectrum PTZ?
When the thermal sensor detects an abnormal heat source or perimeter breach, the optical channel automatically zooms in and tracks the target using its 32x optical zoom to give operators crisp visual identification.
Can this camera detect fires through smoke or total darkness?
Yes. Thermal imaging penetrates total darkness, fog, and light smoke by detecting infrared radiation emitted by heat sources, allowing dynamic fire algorithms to flag fires before visual smoke accumulates.
What power options are supported for this speed dome?
It supports Hi-PoE (High Power over Ethernet) for simplified single-cable power and data deployment, as well as 24 VAC, 36 VDC, and 48 VDC terminal block connections.
