Dahua DH-PFA136 Waterproof Junction Box — White (PFA136) & Black (PFA136-B)
The Dahua DH-PFA136 is the factory waterproof junction box engineered for Dahua's eyeball turret, mini-dome and selected fisheye cameras — the back-of-camera disc Australian installers reach for whenever a cable needs to terminate cleanly behind the camera body, conceal an RJ45 join, and pass through a wall in a sealed, weather-tight finish. Available in both White (DH-PFA136) and Black (DH-PFA136-B) to colour-match the camera body, the PFA136 is a single-piece aluminium housing with an M20 (G½") water-tight cable gland, a rubber gasket, and a three-screw bolt-circle that fits the standard Dahua HDW / HDBW base.
Dimensions are a compact Φ110.0 × 34.0 mm, the assembly weighs just 0.19 kg, and the load rating of 1.0 kg covers every Dahua turret and mini-dome currently sold in Australia (most weigh 350–700 g). The operating window of −40 °C to +60 °C with humidity up to 90% RH means it handles every Australian climate — Hobart winters, Brisbane summers, Karratha cyclones and Tasmanian alpine — without warping, cracking or pitting. Each box ships ready to install: three M4×10 camera screws, three ST4×25 self-tappers, three plastic anchors, one water-joint gland and the hex wrench, all included.

Why Choose the Dahua DH-PFA136 for Your Eyeball or Dome Camera
Mounting a turret or mini-dome straight onto a wall or soffit with the bare base looks rough, leaves the RJ45 join exposed inside the wall cavity, and almost always leaks water down the cable run during heavy rain. The PFA136 is the cleaner, weather-tight answer — it sits behind the camera as a 110 mm disc, hides the RJ45 connector and pigtail inside its sealed cavity, takes the cable in through a proper M20 gland, and lets the camera bolt onto the disc with the same three M4 screws as a direct mount. For Australian installers, it's the small accessory that turns a quick fit-off into a job that won't come back as a leak callout six months later.
Genuine Dahua Engineering — Exact Bolt-Circle Fitment
The three M4×10 mounting holes match the Dahua HDW eyeball turret and HDBW mini-dome base exactly. The box ships with the correct M4 screws for the camera, the correct ST4 self-tappers for the wall, plastic anchors and the hex wrench — no rummaging in the van for the right thread pitch.
White or Black to Match the Camera Body
The White PFA136 matches every Dahua white-housing turret and mini-dome. The Black PFA136-B colour-matches the BLK variants of the TiOC range (e.g. HDW3849H-AS-PV-ANZ-S2 Black) and disappears against dark render, charcoal Colorbond, stained timber or black-painted feature walls.
M20 (G½") Water-Tight Cable Gland
The supplied water-joint gland threads into the side of the box at M20, sealing the cable entry against wind-driven rain — the same gland Dahua uses on its IP66/IP67 cameras. The internal cavity gives you space to dress the RJ45 join, the power tail and any audio/alarm leads cleanly behind the camera.
Single-Piece Aluminium — Built for Australian Conditions
One-piece cast aluminium with a powder-coat finish — won't rust, won't crack under UV, won't warp in roof-cavity summer heat. The Australian coastal salt-air tolerance is the same as Dahua's IP67 camera housings (which use the same alloy).
Compact Φ110 mm Profile
Just 110 mm in diameter and 34 mm deep — the box sits flush behind the camera with almost no visible offset. From the ground, the camera looks like it's mounted directly to the wall — except now you have a proper sealed cable termination behind it.
Load-Rated for the Full Dahua Turret & Dome Range
1 kg load rating covers every Dahua eyeball turret, every mini-dome and most compact fisheye cameras (350–700 g typical). Not for full-size PTZs, thermal cameras or anything over 1 kg — those need a heavier bracket like the PFB203W or PFB710W.
White PFA136 vs Black PFA136-B — Which Should You Choose?
Mechanically the two variants are identical — same Dahua aluminium casting, same load rating, same M20 thread, same screw kit, same datasheet. The only difference is the powder-coat finish colour. Use the table below to choose the right SKU for the camera and wall colour combination.
DH-PFA136 (White) vs DH-PFA136-B (Black)
Installer tip: always pair the junction-box colour to the camera body, not the wall. A white camera on a black junction box on a dark wall reads as visually broken; a black camera on a black box on the same wall disappears. The wall colour drives the camera choice; the camera colour drives the junction-box choice.
PFA136 Junction Box vs PFB203W Wall-Mount Bracket — Which Do I Need?
These two are the most-confused Dahua accessories. They look similar in the catalogue, fit the same cameras, and both come in White and Black — but they solve different problems. Use the PFA136 when the camera is going on a flat wall or soffit and you just need a sealed cable termination behind it. Use the PFB203W when the camera needs to angle outward from a vertical wall, like a horizontal turret mounted on an external wall looking along the driveway.
PFA136 Junction Box vs PFB203W Wall-Mount Bracket
Need both? On many sites the answer is "one of each" — a PFA136 on the eave for the front-door turret, and a PFB203W on the side wall for the driveway turret. View the PFB203W combined product page →
Compatible Dahua Cameras
The PFA136 is the official rear-cavity junction box for the bulk of Dahua's eyeball turret and mini-dome (HDBW) range sold in Australia. The list below is drawn directly from the Dahua Camera Accessories Selection guide. If your camera isn't shown but appears as an HDW/HDBW model with a circular base ~110 mm in diameter, it's almost certainly supported. (If in doubt, message our Australian team with the model number — we'll confirm before you order.)

Installation Overview — From Box to Powered Up
The PFA136 is one of the fastest Dahua accessories to fit — most installers have it on the wall and the camera powered up inside 10 minutes. The high-level sequence is below.
1. Mark the Three-Hole Pattern
Use the PFA136's base as a drilling template. Three ST4×25 self-tappers (supplied) into plastic anchors (also supplied) hold it on render, brick or fibre cement. For Colorbond or timber soffits, drive the self-tappers direct into the substrate — no anchor needed.
2. Drill the Cable Entry Hole
Drill the wall behind the box for the cable run-through. Thread the camera tail-cable through the wall and into the back of the box, then through the M20 gland on the side (or out the back if the install is internal/dry).
3. Bolt the Box to the Wall
Tighten the three ST4 screws. The aluminium body is rigid — test that the box doesn't flex against the wall before adding the camera.
4. Make the Cable Connections Inside the Cavity
Crimp or pre-terminate the RJ45 inside the cavity (the box is large enough for a coupler join, or for a pre-made tail join). The internal cavity also fits the supplied 12 V power lead or audio/alarm pigtails on cameras that include them.
5. Mount the Camera with 3 × M4 Screws
Line up the camera's circular base on the PFA136, drive the three M4×10 machine screws (supplied) with the included hex wrench. The wrench is small — clip it to your tool tray, it's the only tool that fits the recess.
6. Power Up & Aim
Connect the RJ45 to the PoE switch or injector; the camera boots in under 30 seconds. Aim the gimbal with the camera live (using DMSS on your phone or a test monitor) before locking the camera head. Optional: silicone-bead the perimeter of the box-to-wall join for a belt-and-braces seal on exposed outdoor installs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the PFA136 and the PFB203W?
The PFA136 is a flat round junction box (Φ110 × 34 mm) that sits behind the camera as a sealed cable termination — used when the camera mounts flat against a wall, eave or soffit. The PFB203W is a wall-mount bracket with a projecting arm — used when the camera needs to angle outward from a vertical wall to look along a driveway or perimeter. They fit the same cameras but solve different installation geometries.
Is the PFA136 actually waterproof, and to what rating?
The box itself is not assigned an IP code (it's a passive enclosure, not a sealed electronics product), but the M20 cable gland and supplied rubber gasket seal the cable entry against wind-driven rain — the same gland Dahua uses on its IP66/IP67 cameras. With the gland fitted correctly and a silicone bead around the perimeter on exposed outdoor installs, you have a fully water-tight termination.
Is the white box the same as the black box — just painted?
Yes. Same Dahua aluminium casting, same M20 thread, same load rating, same mounting pattern, same datasheet, same screw kit. The only difference is the powder-coat colour. Choose by camera body colour, not by spec.
What's the maximum camera weight I can mount on the PFA136?
1.0 kg (2.2 lb). That comfortably covers every Dahua eyeball turret, every mini-dome, and most compact fisheye cameras (350–700 g typical). Don't use it for PTZs, thermal cameras, or anything over 1 kg — those need a heavier accessory.
Does this fit Dahua bullet cameras (HFW series)?
No. Bullet cameras use a different junction box — the PFA135 (no gasket, internal use) or PFA130-E (outdoor, waterproof). The PFA136 is shaped for the round base of HDW turrets and HDBW mini-domes.
Will it fit a Hikvision turret or mini-dome?
Mechanically, no. The PFA136's three-screw bolt-circle is sized for the Dahua HDW / HDBW base. Hikvision use a different bolt pattern. For a Hikvision turret junction box, use the Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM18 or equivalent.
Can I use it on a soffit or ceiling, not just a wall?
Yes — and that's one of its most common uses in Australia. Eave-mounted front-door turrets and ceiling-mounted internal dome installs both use the PFA136 to hide the cable join behind the camera. Same three-screw fitment, same M20 gland.
Does it ship with screws, anchors and the gland?
Yes. Each PFA136 ships with 3 × M4×10 machine screws for the camera, 3 × ST4×25 self-tappers + 3 × plastic anchors for the wall, the M20 water-joint gland, and a hex wrench for the M4 screws. Nothing extra to order — open the box and install.
Is it compatible with the Black BLK variants of the Dahua TiOC range?
Yes — and that's exactly when you'd specify the Black PFA136-B. The black junction box colour-matches the BLK / Black-body TiOC turrets (HDW3849H-AS-PV-ANZ-S2 Black, for example) for a seamless installed look against dark walls and ceilings.
Will it handle Australian sun and salt-air?
Yes. The aluminium body doesn't rust, and the powder-coat finish is UV-stable. Operating temperature is rated to +60 °C, comfortably above any roof-mounted Australian summer day. For coastal sites (within 1 km of the surf), we still recommend an annual freshwater rinse to extend the powder-coat life — same advice as for the camera itself.
What is the warranty and where is it serviced?
The box ships with a 3-year Australian warranty against material and finish defects, serviced back-to-base through CCTV Guru. Damage from over-tightening, drop, or installation error is excluded — standard for any mechanical accessory.
Do you ship Australia-wide and is stock genuine?
Yes — Australian stock from authorised Dahua Australia channels (not parallel imports). We dispatch the same business day for orders placed before 2 pm AEST to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Darwin and every regional address in between.
