Description

NDAA Compliant • 360° Multisensor Camera

AXIS Q6010-E 4x5MP 360° Situational Awareness Camera — Australian Stock & 5-Year Warranty

The AXIS Q6010-E pairs four 5 MP sensors into a single outdoor-ready head that delivers a seamless 360° overview at 20 MP total resolution. Designed to sit directly above a current AXIS Q60-E PTZ camera, it adds one-click PTZ control and Autopilot so an operator can click anywhere in the 360° view and have the PTZ instantly slew, zoom and track. Each sensor uses an autofocus, exchangeable M12 lens with positioning calibration, and the whole unit is rated IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 for -40 °C to 50 °C operation. Zipstream with H.264 and H.265 keeps bandwidth and storage under control across all four channels.

Total Awareness, Then Instant Detail

A single PTZ camera can only look one way at a time. The AXIS Q6010-E solves that by recording the entire scene continuously in 20 MP while the PTZ beneath it chases the detail — so nothing is missed off-camera, and every event is available for forensic review afterwards. It shares the same bracket, power supply and network cable as the connected AXIS Q60-E, which keeps installation cost and cabling to a minimum.

Four 5 MP Sensors, One 360° View

Four 1/2.5" progressive-scan RGB CMOS sensors each capture 2592x1944 at up to 20 fps, stitched into a full 360° horizontal by 84° vertical overview with an automatically removable IR-cut filter for day and night operation.

One-Click PTZ and Autopilot

Click any point in the overview and the connected AXIS Q60-E PTZ camera slews straight to it. Autopilot is included for automatic PTZ tracking within defined viewing areas, so the system follows activity without an operator at the keyboard.

Exchangeable Autofocus Lenses

Standard 2.8 mm F2.0 autofocus lenses ship fitted, with optional AXIS M12 6 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm lenses available to narrow the field of view on any individual sensor. Pan, tilt and rotate adjustment plus positioning calibration make setup precise.

Built for Harsh Australian Sites

IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 aluminium and polycarbonate construction, PVC free, rated -40 °C to 50 °C (-50 °C with the AXIS Camera Heater Kit) and designed for repaint. Signed OS, encrypted filesystem and 802.1X keep the device hardened on the network.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the total resolution of the AXIS Q6010-E?

Four 5 MP sensors give 20 MP total. Each sensor streams 2592x1944 at up to 20 fps, and the four channels combine into a seamless 360° view.

Does the Q6010-E work on its own?

It is designed to operate with a current AXIS Q60-E PTZ network camera, which enables one-click PTZ and Autopilot. Supported models include the AXIS Q6052-E, Q6054-E (and Mk II / Mk III), Q6055-E, Q6074-E, Q6075-E and Q6078-E. An AXIS Q6010-E Solo Kit is available as an optional accessory for standalone mounting.

What is Autopilot?

Autopilot is included with the camera and automatically drives the connected PTZ to track movement within the viewing areas you define, so activity is followed without an operator manually steering the PTZ.

Does it have built-in IR illumination?

No. The AXIS Q6010-E has no built-in IR. It uses an automatically removable IR-cut filter for day/night operation and needs 0.03 lux of ambient light for B/W imaging, so pair it with site lighting or an external illuminator for very dark scenes.

What analytics are included?

AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, Autopilot, AXIS Video Motion Detection, active tampering alarm and edge storage events. ACAP support allows third-party applications to be installed.

How is it powered?

When paired with an AXIS Q60-E PTZ camera, Axis recommends an AXIS High PoE Midspan 1-port rated to 60 W. Used with the Solo Kit without a PTZ camera it draws typically 9 W (max 22 W), or accepts 24 VDC external power.

Can I change the lenses?

Yes. The lenses are exchangeable and tiltable. Optional AXIS M12 lenses are available in 6 mm (56° horizontal), 12 mm (31°) and 16 mm (20°) to narrow the view on any individual sensor.

Is it suitable for exposed outdoor sites?

Yes. It is IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 rated with an aluminium casing and polycarbonate dome, operates from -40 °C to 50 °C and is designed for repaint. With the AXIS Camera Heater Kit the low-temperature range extends to -50 °C.

Does it integrate with third-party recorders?

Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T along with VAPIX, so it works with AXIS Camera Station Edge, Pro and 5 as well as ONVIF-compliant VMS platforms from Axis partners.
